Just refresh the entire web page if it won't play. There is some kind of problem with the Java applet that sometimes messes up the ability to play, and often makes it so you can't start over.

sorry to be a wet blanket i love the game the plot every thing but i was able to walk through the first level and not die
Haha, someone finally discovered the secret to beating it on easy mode. Try changing the difficulty to a higher setting, then you'll have to actually fight and stuff.

ita ok but it glitches when u duck
Eh, not really a glitch. If you crouch while moving it sometimes gets stuck in the running animation, you are supposed to stop moving before you crouch. Other than that, everything works as it is supposed to.

Yes, I designed that Iron Man by myself using PhotoShop CS3, see my project "Building Iron Man" to see more details. I am working on Episode 2 when I have free time, hopefully it will be up by mid-September.

I added him in later on. Almost all of my projects (all the ones I consider good) have a hidden video game figure somewhere, waiting to be found. Kind of a fun little easter egg thing I did :P

Poor robot...(I didn't know robots can feel pain!) I hope he gets his revenge! But anyways, very nice game! Haven't seen a good polished out game here on Scratch in ages! The only suggestion would be to make all chracters and objects smaller as it is still quite hard to react to obstacles.

Hey fullmoon, I just wanted to let you know 2 things. First, I used a quote from you in my Iron Man Ad. And 2nd, Chapter 2 is finally done!!! Check it out if you have time.
Wow! I love the intro, although I'm not sure how well the singing fits the game. Great, great gameplay, with a minor design issue: it's hard to react to obstacles because Iron Man is so close to the left of the screen. Anyway, add some sound effects and you've got yourself a Scratch game of unusually high quality. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT, stop working on this!
Alright, the issue with Iron Man going to close to the edge of the screen should be fixed. I just uploaded a new version.

Hey m44, since you liked this version of Iron Man, I want to let you know that I just uploaded Chapter 2. It's the next level of the game, and has new more powerful enemies, plus a boss fight! Try it out!
Wow, nice gameplay. The only thing I could suggest is a crouch and be a tiny bit faster. Amazing!
Hey man, I know you liked my last version of Iron Man, so I thought I would let you know that I just finished Chapter 2, and it's on my projects page now. Try it out!
There is a crouch. You just press down to crouch, and down again to stand back up. The speed issue is because of the size of the game, with slower connections it won't run very well. If you download it and try it in Presentation mode it runs very smoothly.

Pretty cool. But I think it would be better if the player was closer to the center. Keep up the good work though!
Hey archmage, I finally got back to working on this project, and I finished Chapter 2. It has some more advanced enemies, with better AI & more attacks. It also has my 1st boss fight! Let me know what you think of it.
Hey, I went into my game and fixed the problem where it let you go too far to the right. But it won't let me replace this version with the updated version. Don't I just share it with the exact same name to replace the old version with the new?
(view all replies)Well that was one of the things that gave me some trouble. If you start running, then run back, the bumper mechanic catches correctly. Then you stay closer to the center, which makes the game far more playable. But if you just run straight the whole time, it lets you get too close to the right side, which makes it difficult. I'm not sure what I did wrong that made it not catch at first.

I love it. Keep it going! Note that I got stuck at one point, when I ran into an enemy which kept moving up and down and damaging me, while next to a laser (but it was not hitting me). No controls worked at that point.
I kept going, and I just finished Chapter 2. Be careful with the crouch controls, they are still a bit tough to use.
I think you must have been in crouch mode. If you hit down it goes to crouch, which is toggle on/off. While crouched you won't be able to move or shoot. Also, there is an occasional bug where you end up in crouch mode but visually are standing. If that happens just hit down again to get out of crouch mode.
