I don't know Chinese or exactly what they do in the Chinese New Year, but I do remember some stuff about what my neighbours used to do for Chinese new Year in Singapore. It's a great festival & I just thought that I could do something for it, even if there is a long time till it's here, but I just felt like making a card for this special festival. It's my first project so it's not that great. Just to let u know, the rat will follow the cursor and those are gold coins that follow the rat. I made coins follow the rat because it's the year of the rat and rats represent wealth according to the Chinese culture. Please add your comments and sorry if there are any mistakes with the Chinese words and stuff... like if I mixed up Cantonese and Mandarin :S. PLEASE add comments :D! Thx :).

This is from last year right. I was born in the year of the rat in 1996! This year it is the year of the ox!
i'm not chinese (but i'm asian) but i still celebrate chinese new year. my family cleans out the whole house to welcome the new year and sometime we watch the dragons. their are basically really loud drummers to scare away the evil spirits and wake up the dragons from their slumber to bring good luck to the new year. the year of 2009 is the year of the ox too. :D

This is So cute and cool!!!! I love it!!! No offense or anything but for future references Chinese New Year in Chinese is Xinnian kuaile. The Chinese characters say congratulations and some else that i don't know. :) This awesome though!!! I put it on my favs!
