i will never quit! i love scratch! and its fun to share projects with people! why quit!? you might think your not populer up first, but who knows? maby you would be faouse after a few days. you are right! and i think scratch is fun!

Just like bubble-07 said we will all quit scratch and wont come back cozz we will get bored of the games and we will grow up and think all the games are a pile of pants... and i would quit but 1, i don't know how too and 2, i can't cozz im doing Scratch in ICT so basically as soon as we finis it i think my whole class will quit

well, lots people leave if they don't get a lot of views, and a lot of people are sick of people leaving, so, people who want scratch to be one whole piece again remix this.

I agree. There are some people who say stuff like "this project is dumb" but I just file them off into an "I dont care" folder in my head. I dont do scratch for popularity, I do it for fun (though I have a ton of glitches to work out...and thats not so fun...)
I do it for fun and I hope no one leaves every again

Sorry if this sounds mean, but I think that the quitting projects might help improve scratch. When the celebs (A.K.A. Best scratchers) all quit, then other users with skills (like me) can have a chance to get front page!
true, but you dont have to be a celeb to make a good project (lolz one of my very first projects, cookie, was featured almost 7 months ago when i was new to scratch)
hi.. i read this and can understand.. but i don't think top scratchers or whatever should quit.. i think the problem of percieved inequality really probably resides in how the projects are selected.. and i have no idea how that is done.. and i have wondered why certain projects have reached featured status..etc..

i threw popularity in the trash last year cuz' i was too weird to fit in. i'm still weird, but i don't care. if a billboard says "Make a statement!", it's the same statement that the other people who read the billboard are making. i make a statement by not making the statement they want you to make. ;)

(view all replies)For one thing, a stunt is something extreme and unordinary that people would get tickets to see. This project is not a stunt. HazelleafKitty is doing their job as a good member of the Scratch community, and everybody who remixed this project is doing the same.

Scratch doesn't choose so much as a computer chooses. Unfortunately, this project has been downloaded and reposted so many times that it is the top remixed project lately solely by number of remixes. ok, HOW ELSE would it get on the top remixed latey!!!?????god!

This is a good message! However, you do make it sound kind of like popularity IS important by talking about how you need to work for it. For some people it might be, but you might also want to emphasize other things you can get from scratch, such as the self-educational value of it. Also, I would download and repost, except it might start a chain-letter fad on the site and all we'll ever see on newest projects will be chain letters, which would be bad. But it's a good idea nonetheless!
