YES!!! (punches air and dislocates shoulder).
As a newbie to Scratch, I'm happily trawling through the forum (as well as posting a few simplistic newbie-type questions) and I encountered your query and the reference to the fact that you're interested in animation.
Ditto.
I'm rubbish at drawings, but have a few ways round that and my interest in Scratch is as a medium for creating short story-movies rather than games. So finding this walk cycle and your script is great. I'll really enjoy studying this and learning from it.
PS: Great cycle, by the way. Very 'Preston Blair'.
If you click on the character, he will walk back and forth across the screen. This is my first try at Scratch. I am an animator and after looking at the animation tutorials that had two-frame animations, I wanted to see if I could create an eight-frame animation. I animated the walk in Flash of the character walking in place and imported each frame into Scratch. I want to learn how to control the character with a mouse and eventually learn how to create some games with full animation.
