i think i said before but the modernish link wass in nintendo power and looks like its for the DS

None of the Links are the SAME links over and over again. If you look at it, The Link in Wind Waker grew up on a small island with his grandmother and sister. In Twilight Princess, He grew up outside of a village with his father. And (At least I'm pretty sure), like what HWL said, they're all reincarnations of the original Hero of Time.
At this point, we can only hope that it's the Hero of Time. It might be just another incarnation of Link.
