...that COULDbe scroll-Y or Scroll-Z - I don't recall exactly. Scroll-y's function is obvious, and scroll-z indicates when objects will appear or disappear on-screen.
.....I wonder why nobody notices the title "pseudo 3D engine". Besides, even if this was a complicated game with 3D polygons and a polygon count as high as a PS3(which very few computers can match at the moment),it would still not be true 3D because it would be in a flat computer creen.
Ack....are you new to scratch? That may explain it. I had designed this to be simpler than most other "3D" engines, but it still isn't exactly the world's simplest project.
I like all of it except that the balls move slower than the ground, you should make them the same speed, it would look better and it would be more challenging
It's just an engine. You can consider it "winning" if you wish, but this is just a "stepping stone" for projects superior to this one but based on it, and hence the enemies are mere "placeholders" for their successors.
Nice, but I do have to say that it is only scrolling 2d. If it was 3d, there would have to be more complicated script and it would have to let you turn- thats a big part of it. It's good, but not quite 3d. Nice job!
Thanks! However, it is simply intended to be a gaming engine, not a full-fledged game. Its simplicity means that a lot of types of 3-d games can be made out of it.
Thank you!! That programming uses a technique that involves setting the Y of a sprite to "scrolly/(number)", or times a number. If you mkultiply it, the larger numbers cause them to appear closer-as long as they are layers in front of the non-important layers.
Amazing, I've downloaded this a couple days ago and I'm just a couple sprites away from a 3d Green Hill Zone. Check my projects to see once I've uploaded (by the end of today).
A simple 3d demo, but a step up from my previous ones. Use left and right to move, space to jump, and A to fire a yellow spine. This potentially VERY customizable demo is to be remixed!! Do so if you wish!

this is ok, but check out my project called doger to see a similar, but better project
OK. Just a piece of advice, but this is not exactly the best item to put in a comment. (No insults intended).
boring
I admit, it isn't EXACTLY designed to be played...its primary use is to make games out of it that ARE entertaining.
Wow, i was very surprised how well the jump feature worked
Thank you!!
Awesome! What is the variable in the corner for?

(view all replies)How in the world??? THAT ROCKS!!!
Thanks, BlueBlur1991!! Are you hoping to use it for anything?(link to project)
Wow, cool!
This isnt 3D

(view all replies)Sorry, it's very hard to remix.

(view all replies)Thanks for letting me remix! :D
Your welcome!!

Hey, it's Tiffany! I like stopping by to a lot of projects. All em' are awesome even yours! -Tiffany's (manager)
I like all of it except that the balls move slower than the ground, you should make them the same speed, it would look better and it would be more challenging
Errrr....okay. Thanks for the comment.
Really good engine!
Thank you!!
I see you got so many complaints that you changed it to Pseudo 3D.
Yes....they never said it was a bsa project, they just said that it wasn't 3D. That's why I changed the name.
That was awesome!
did I win? There's no more circles coming at me...
It's just an engine. You can consider it "winning" if you wish, but this is just a "stepping stone" for projects superior to this one but based on it, and hence the enemies are mere "placeholders" for their successors.
(view all replies)thats not 3d...
Ah don't worry, I know that. Because of various comments by people,I renamed this project "pseudo 3D engine".
it's pseudo 3d, not 3d, silly!
(view all replies)Cool, although not really 3D, kind of complicated 2D.
Yeah, I agree. Still, "3D" engines like this can allow for some very complicated scratch projects that are not limited to moving just left or right.
Nice, but I do have to say that it is only scrolling 2d. If it was 3d, there would have to be more complicated script and it would have to let you turn- thats a big part of it. It's good, but not quite 3d. Nice job!
Congratz on featured. This is a great engine!
awesome
I've been recieving that a lot....anyway, thank you!!
This is awesome though. And thanks for encouraging remixing!
Thanks!! I hope some creative remixes show up!!
This isn't 3D... You need more than 0-100 sizing to create 3D.
(view all replies)your right it just "Looks" 3D
It's literally impossible to actually create a truly 3D game. You can, however, create things that imitate 3D functions.
(view all replies)Well, it still wouldn't because 3D is real life, so it'll be 2.5D.
(view all replies)Yeah because something coming from near the center doesnt just go forward, it goes to one side.
(view all replies)One of the neatest 3D projects on Scratch!
Yeah.
Thanks!!
ARRRGGHHH!!!!! Get Ready!!! ARRRGGHHH!!!!! Get Ready!!! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_Harrier http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DuqYlXL54SQ#t=2m46s
That is what your game reminded me of... You could make this into a rail shooter like that.
(view all replies)Great engine! Congrats on being featured! This is awesome!
It got featured?! Wow!!
(view all replies)Very intresting! Do you mind if I use the 3D engine you made for a future project I will make? I will give you credit for it. Thanks! :D -MrDinosaur
Nice new icon. Mr. Dinosaur.
(view all replies)GAH ITS NOT 3D!!!!
(view all replies)No, I do not mind!! In fact, that's what I want this demo to be used for - to be remixed and turned into full-fledged games!!
(view all replies)This is amazing! All it needs is a HP bar that goes down when the brown things touch you and this could be a fully functioning game!
Thanks! However, it is simply intended to be a gaming engine, not a full-fledged game. Its simplicity means that a lot of types of 3-d games can be made out of it.
This is a really great engine, congrats:)
Thank you!!
Hi Galacta! I'm curating this because it's a marvelous and unique (I think...) 3D engine. And it's highly remixable! :)
like the jumping.
Thank you!! That programming uses a technique that involves setting the Y of a sprite to "scrolly/(number)", or times a number. If you mkultiply it, the larger numbers cause them to appear closer-as long as they are layers in front of the non-important layers.

Thanks, blueblur!!
you've made another excellent demo that's sure to be a great game!
Thanks - although I am not 100% sure I'll make this a game.
(view all replies)thats so fun
Thanks!
That's brilliant! :O It's amazing! I'll add it to Recommended Projects - and Highly Recommended Projects. :)
Thank you!!
nice job
Thanks.
