Winner of the Scratch Month Cup for January 2009! I sure hope your in for a challenge, because Ryoku delivers one! Using only a sword fight your way through 4 challenging levels filled with enemies, and 3 boss levels. Help Ryoku save his friends and maybe even the world... I hope everyone enjoy's this game!

Hey sry to comment on this game I can't comment on profiles! Ya now banned story? To the attacks did you animate those yourself or did you do something with banned story? Again sry to comment on the game!
with banned story i made a sprite, then i made it walk and slash and stab but in order to put it in my game i had to take a picture of each sprite then after i had a picture of each movement that i wanted i used the print screen putton and then opened it in paint, that way its a sprite sheet. and in scratch i have to put it all together into a gif. that answer your question?

it was something done a while ago by benjamin2, he now has The_Scratch_Cup instead i think.

Nice! When downloaded, it runs smoothly, which is always good. Good scrolling. My suggestions would be to make some more enemies besides the soldier people. Also, the music gets repetitive after a while. It would be good to vary it (although I understand that takes up a lot of space, so do what works). I like it.

thanks. yah i got pretty annoyed by the music after a while, but I didn't want it to lag too much. enemies should have been more varied and they will be in number 2. i made the sprites myself using banned story so it took quite a while to make them all.and i agree., when downloaded, it runs smoothly however not when it isnt downloaded lol.

its slow online, so you need to download it. number two is also going to be faster. and its long cuz its supposed to be a really long game

Ok good lol, because I thought that it was 1 of those games with a depressing ending and no sequel, but this has a semi-depressing ending WITH a sequel woot! XD

I'm sorry if you feel bad about the whole remix thing FantasyTales, but look at all the people who have remixed Cube World and have not given me credit. Surely I should be allowed remix somebody's. Can you see my point?

(view all replies)maybe you should have a checkpoint, because as the enemy hits you, you go back to the start and the character walks really slow
yah i've had some people reccomend that, and im working on number two right now and i might add that. the thing with checkpoints though is that then it kind of becomes too easy. by the way if you download it and play it in presentation mode the movement is much much faster
