Its impossible if you the second because the computer uses this unbeatable strategy, but if you go first, use the strategy yourself. All you have to do to win is that when it starts take 1 apple and when the computer goes, what ever number of apples he chooses follow the chart below and you will always win! Computer takes 1, You take 3. Computer takes 2, You take 2. Computer takes 3, You take 1.

How to win: Go first Take 2 leaving 29 React to the computer and make sure there are 25 left after your move Now make sure there's 21 Now 17 Now 13 Now 9 Now 5 And finally, take away the second to last.
