Hi, this is my first project in Scratch which I did for a class project at school.
It took me about a week to finish it. Some of the scripts I took from BRICK FU but most of it I did on my own.
I am aware of some of the ball collision glitches but nothing major. Also, you can only have one powerup appear on the screen so if you get another powerup, the previous one disappears.
There are 9 levels in total. Try playing it on hard to earn an A+.
I hope you enjoy this game as much as I enjoyed making it!

- added a new sound
- added mute system
- changed 4 balls in medium difficulty to 3 balls
- made the ball speed go faster in tougher difficulties
- you now get a D rating if you score over 1000

On lvl 7 if u bounce just right u don't stop!
I got a score of 1200 with a difficulty on medium and I got a "d" for a grade. It is really fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this is a fun game, but i've found a glitch on level 7
oops pressed enter. when the ball was bouncing up the left side on the gray bricks, the ball got stuck bouncing between the top corner and the 4th or 5th brick down

I also have one thing to add. The ball is a little glitched. If the direction of the ball gets to like 89 or 91 it becomes really annoying. I have found a solution to this by making an auto angle adjuster. Like if the direction = 90 the ball is stuck going back and fourth. You can take a look at my new project, "Super Pong Two Beta Version" play it for a bit and if the direction = 90, 91, 92, 89, or 87 it corrects the problem by picking a random direction. Overall the project is great.

(view all replies)Level 8 was endless, the ball kept moving left..right..up 1 pixel..left..right.. SO ANNOYING! then left..right.. down 1 pixel..left..right.... I tried to speed it up by hitting it with the corner of the stupid bouncer thing, but it just glides across it. It's been this way for about 20 minutes now, I'm thinking I might quit soon.

I think that your lives disappear because of the costume. I have 4 possible solutions. Make a sprite to stamp the pictures, and just keep a variable; don't let the item show up if it has the max lives; don't show lives, just show variable; make the sprite so it doesn't switch costumes if it has the max lives. I don't know if you've already fixed this, but I just thought of these when I saw mariobrosrule's comment. I personally recommend a combo of the second and last things I listed.

yea i think it happens when you get more than 9 lives.
