For enimies you could just do a sprite that runs around randomly and jumps at random intervals. And make the enimey stay in a confined spot by making it turn
its very easy: set the x-pos of the enemy to scrollx + x(the distance you want it to be). For help with positioning just check out my "make your own scroller" project. Here is a link
Cool! Nice game. I have an idea of how to put in enemies. It's too hard to explain in a comment, but if you download my "Binocular View: Castle" project and do the same thing to an enemy sprite that I did to the portcullis, I think that will work.
