gah! i downloaded it to use as instructions for my own game (i dont know how to make grav wells) and now i have a thumping headache. ITS MEGA COMPLICATED :(
Check out my latest. I've uploaded a few times, but it hangs on-line. If you're into the realistic gravity and velocity with no "drag", you might like it...
Getting the bomb into orbit seems too easy, I'm not sure why. I thought the script was an accurate representation of real physics, but I like the way it works for the game. Having the bomb in orbit helps knock down the shots coming from the enemy. Any top scores to report?
Still debugging. The "beta" version will be out soon. Bouncy walls were lifted from an early 80's quarter eater. A solid hit to the corner will turn up another bug, but I think the kamikazi move will just cost you a ship now. Getting closer...
Alright! Little Asteroid-style ships, my kind of game! I like the bouncy walls and the gravity field around the enemy. Possible bug - I kamikazed my ship into the enemy ship and suddenly I had one ship blinking between two locations, kind of weird.
Download the 30 sprites and 88 scripts of "GravArena" and open it in Scratch
Project Notes
Your ship has been trapped in a corner of space claimed by an advanced alien race. The aliens have mastered gravity, and use it as a source of power, and can even use it as a weapon.
Luckily, you command a ship designed by NASA, the "National Aeronautics and Scratch Administration", that carries weapons which will enable you to battle your captors.
Use up arrow to fire your thruster, left and right arrow to turn your ship. Spacebar fires plasma cannons (your primary weapon, as it is unaffected by the alien gravity field). Down arrow will launch a "dumb" proximity bomb that will fall toward the enemy gravity source and explode if it comes into contact with their ships or weapons.

Yeah, I downloaded the project and checked out the scripts, very gravity-ish!

I managed to get my bomb into orbit :-)
Cool! You have some really nice projects.
Fixed the issue with bounces in the corner...
Oh by the way, you have special access to my gallery, "top picks"
awesome!
Really nice job. Very playable game, and good physics.
48,950 and Level 10 is my best...
