Did not mean to be offensive with last comment.. i found this a bit confusing ..the language in your project notes and the method of obtaining the result..
i was shown a different method to do this.
Which comment? I certainly do not want to be offensive in Scratch. I know the regular method is different but if you practice this method a little you can do double digit multiplication in your head.
To multiply 2 numbers that have decimals:
************************************
1. Add the number of decimals by selecting each number by clicking on it and pressing the decimal arrow on the bottom right to remove the decimal for that number. The number of decimals for the result will be shown under the Decimals label.
************************************
2. Then pretend that the numbers have no decimals and multiply them. To learn to do this in your head click Double Digit Multiplication.
************************************
3. Then move the decimal (, or .) at the right of the result with the left arrow as many digits to the right as the number decimals.
************************************
4. Press The Check button to make sure you got the right answer.
************************************
Division of decimals coming soon.

(view all replies)probably easier to use a normal calculator.
This s doing it in your head. You can do it many different ways and this is just one of them.
I think it’s a matter of language but “move the decimal to the right” is the same as “move the decimal point (or comma) to the left”, isn’t it ?
You are correct I should have said to the left I will correct it thanks
