You and Dr. Super will each place a piece in turn on the Super Board. Whoever places the last piece on the Board and completes it is the winner. To go first drag the single, double or triple pyramid from the top onto the Board (the ten upright purple triangles,) or click the "Dr. Super You Start" button for Dr. Super to go first. Click the double to turn it. Click the stage to turn the theme music on/off. Click "Susa" to read the legend behind this game. Click "by Dr. Super" caption to see the credits.

Do not call him Dr.lame that is not nice even if he cheated. I am sure it was a glitch and not intentional.
One of the times I played, I split the board into two parts, just like some people advise, but Dr.Super put triangles on both sides on the same move and won the game! ??? Another time, during Dr.Super's move, he moved one of MY pieces! Again, how?

I won! The secret is to never let Super divide the playing area in to two equal parts with 2 or 1 space in each of them. Divide it yourself to win.
you also don't want to have him divide it into 3, and it's impossible to have 4

It puts pieces to the left and down unless you put the pieces exactly in the right place. It plays better when you download also.

It took me about 40 minutes, but I finally beat it! Now if I can only figure out a reliable way to beat it. I can't imagine programming this. I downloaded it to look at the scripts and just... wow.

yay for you. The startegy can be improved so that the computer does not make the same move every time. QWith Scratch you have to repeat a lot of stuff that is whay it is so cumbersome. I was hoping to do a better version with Lists but List do not do exactly what I want here. thanks for the Wow;=>

(view all replies)Smart AI! I found out how Dr.Super plays and beat the AI. It's a little easy for me, how about a difficulty setting.
Great Job. I need to randomize so you can not see how drsuper plays.Difficulty setting maybe later. But only 24 hours in a day;=<The way I had to write the logic I barely able to make it run.
This project cheats! It took one of my moves and changed it. When I have time I will attempt to duplicate and give you the details.
Master the cheating is not intentional. It was my first and also I am not still confortable with how to place sprites exactly some where. For now sprite will have a tendency to go to left and down if they are not placed exactly.I could have logic errors also. Sorry;=>

Finally won. AI made mistake. They started out with 3 triangles at the top, I did 3 triangles on bottom left, AI did 3 on bottom right, I won by doing one in center.
Great. How did it put 3 on bottom right? I will have to check that move thank.

it cheated i had it set up so i couldn't lose and then the bottom row broke down cause i tried to put a double in there

Enzo did you have trouble with it? let me know. Is this what you are refering to I am checking from bottom to top and left to right so if the piece your are placing is touching any triangle from the board to the left or below it it will go there. I seperated the triangles on the board a few pixcels but any more the pieces would not fit on them. I will thinker more.
(view all replies)This is a fascinating game! I like it a lot. I have had a little trouble with positioning my piece accurately. A couple of times, I have dragged the single block to a location and released it only to have it end up in an adjacent location. Very nice though!

Here is my review for the Challenge Community crit group: You seem to have been really inspired by the history of the game. This project is very clear to understand and it is visually accurate. Even though I NEVER won, I enjoyed playing against Dr Super. The only thing that distracted me was that Dr Super's turn went so quickly after mine that I sometimes thought my pieces had been misplaced. Did you consider adding a wait 1 second block before Dr. Super makes his move?

Thanks for the comment. I have tried to slow this down but ran into trouble because of the the way I had implemented the logic. In Susa II that will replace this once Scratch people help remove the locking problem I am chanaging the color of the piece that dr super plays. I will try to leave a couple of second also.
Well, I lost, I lost and I lost a lot. Then I learnt: if I began, I put one triangle in the middle of a side (there are two places but doesn’t matter what I choose) Dr responds with a triangle. Then I put a double in certain position that I don’t reveal (for no spoiling other's pleasure) and the game is won since I play carefully. Great game, indeed. Very challenging!
So hard I almost did susacide.

Thx. I appreciate this. It is too bad that the new version does not function properly. I copied the sprites but to no avail;=<I am an old hand and generally these problems find a solution when enough pressure is applied. If you have more suggestions please tell me.

bigB can you download and diagnose why my new version Susa II does not work. I have done all that I can. I can not move the Single even though it is unlocked and the triple moves on the fourth try! Consistent Bug. I have Forever loops to check where these pieces are dropped. Is there another way? that

Ive been having problems with the space bar. It seems to not be rotating the two pyramids. This may not be a programming error as sometimes scratch projects do not always work as expected online. have you been affected by this problem?

I have changed it in the new version so you can click the double. It seems to work better. I saw the same problem some times. I also have made it all drag and drop as this click and get a piece then drag is not very user friendly. I think the new version plays better.
tactics, good graphics, great interface, fun to play, challenging, excellent AI. Its everything i look for in a game.
