Download "Twins"(3 sprites and 5 scripts) and open it in Scratch
Project Notes
Color pallet test - original was a 24-bit .bmp image.
Twin on left was converted to 8-bit in Paint Shop Pro using the "web safe" conversion option. (Phototshop has something similar.)
Twin on the right was converted to 8-bit color using Microsoft Paint.
Costume for "Scratched" twins is from the initial costume exported (as a .gif file, right click on costume image) and then re-imported without editing (editing converts background to black).
Conclusion: It's probably best to import the best quality image you have (i.e. 24-bit color with no comparession, if you have it) into Scratch and use the Scratch default pallet for any conversions.
(Note the dummy sprite to move the text balloon.)
(Also note the use of a "hidden" sprite to better locate text balloon.)
