uh yeah... even though it is tidally locked. If it didn't orbit it would have to be at either one of the sun-earth Lagrangian Points or it would fall down towards the earth or the sun. and then earth would be devastated, its axis of tilt would be highly variable, and lots of people would die.
From my point of view, the Earth translation is done counterclokwise; but now, I've realized that from your point of view it is rolling clokwise.
I liked the detail of the solar eruptions. I've corrected the word "bended", thank you.
I was feeling lazy. also if you will notice, I used 30 days for a lunar week instead of 29.5, the distances aren't to scale, and the Earth is oriented in the wrong direction (it should show a south pole perspective. I did 360 because it simplifies things, and it doesn't really matter for demonstration purposes if it is only a 5-day difference from reality, because this also assumes a circular orbit.

does the moon orbit

(view all replies)By the way the earth's orbit is tilted but this project is awesome and detailed

Not entirely accurate, but still fun to watch! Nice work!
Nice graphics...
Very nice scripting!
Nice, but as far as I can tell, its based off of 360 days, and not 365.
