heheh yeah I didn't invent the colors exactly, I invented the pattern that defines them.

its kinda original, but i bet u it took a long time and hard work... since im part of scratchgrader (by the way its too late to sign up for that) i'd give it a 4 out of 20... u need atleast a ten, u can fix it and mabey ill submit it
no I spent about 5 minutes creating the code and 20 testing it probably.

What's up with people hating this project all of a sudden? Its got nice programming and comes out with an impressive image. Plus, if you don't have the patience to wait for it to paint itself, thats already been covered by solarbuddy's project thats been provided.
I know! my theory is that some noobs are jealous of how popular it is and think it is somehow unfair because it isn't perfect... or there are a bunch of immature flaming noobs who just go around places criticizing things in all caps with bad grammar flaming every project they see for no reason just to try to get an angry response... some people are just so immature.
TOO SLOW it takes FOREVER to get to the end
then get a faster computer or else compromise your level of detail.

if you hold down the black dot it will follow the mouse well on of the dots
as there are only 17 sprites, deduced from the top corner, the dots must be stamping.therfore the spiral cannot spin once it is complete.
weird. the website thinks that stamping.therfor is the name of some URL or something...but, yeah. to make it spin I would need to have another project altogether... or else scratch would need to have some radical changes (Which I would not mind if they allowed stamping onto sprites!)
You should make it spin when it's done and anyway it looks so buetiful can you look at one of my projects I only have about seven but I'm new here

(view all replies)the way that the color and brightness are calculated are key to the final look of the image though. That part is more complex but it basically figures out the direction towards the center sprite by pointing towards it. then it adds the distance to the center, multiplies the result by 5 (for 5 spiral arms)
(view all replies)well, the process is that each pen goes to a random location, calculates the color and brightness based on its location, stamps the color by putting the pen down and up again, and repeats that forever.

awesome. i love it. I have two suggestions: 1. Make the pen thing clear when green flag clicked and set the ghost effect for the sprite on to zero.
