MY FIRST EVER FEATURED PROJECT! AAAAAAH!!!
This colorful project illustrates how wave harmonics works generally. To use it, first press the green flag. then adjust the frequency and amplitude slider variables for Wave1 (red) and Wave2 (Blue), which, in case you didn't know, frequency corresponds to pitch, and amplitude corresponds to volume. Finally, when you are done, press space to create the waves, and the harmonic. The harmonic is the sum of Wave1 and Wave2, and the summing can be destructive or constructive. I hope you like it! I can make some more realistic simulations later, maybe, with negative amplitude or something.

Thanks! actually, the idea came just out of a science textbook kind of... I made it into a scratch project to be able to interact with the concept, and understand it better. I found the idea cool too!

download the spore creature creator trial version, make a creature, and, in test drive mode, press "capture animated avatar". then, in scratch, press "choose avatar", then click browse and find the .gif file under "creatures", and "avatars".

hey something cool put both frequency's on 35 and wave 1 amps on -10 wave 2 amp on +10
to get flat-line get the frequency on both line to 50 and the amp on both to 0
its like tuning a guitar you have to listen to the waves and get them the same pitch.can you maybe do an oscilloscope?(a thing that shows sound waves)

Try this: Wave1 Amplitude = -100, Wave1 frequency = 60, Wave2 Amplitude = 100, Wave2 frequency = 1.

For a solid pattern, try both amplitudes at -100 and both frequencies at 60.

really? well, it gets even freakier when you start thinking about the particle-wave form of photons, diffraction, interference patterns, 3-D waves, 4-D waves, etc. and Quantum Mechanics.

OH! well, I have the Spore Creature creator, you can download a trial version from www.spore.com, but it might not work. then, In the test drive mode, I clicked on "make animated avatar". Then, I uploaded the .gif file to scratch.
