Still using Scratch, just also using Flash now! The deal I got was amazing, just $218.36 for Flash, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, and Contributor. The funny thing is that the cost of flash alone was more than the cost of this package. Flash (with student discount) is $250. LOL!!!!!!!!!!
The whole package was under a student discount btw, you can't find it that cheap without that.
Once again, for all you people who assume the worst, NOT LEAVING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just distracted a bit.

I already know a bit of html, but barely any. I can use XML in flash btw, there are ways, I checked.

Cool! What is Contributor? Never heard of it. And what version of Flash did you get? I have Flash 8 with AS 2.0. Is 3.0 any better?
I dont know what contributer is. I got Flash CS3, with 2.0 & 3.0. Idk how much better 3.0 is, I have not tried it yet.

a what? i'm confused, i'm guessing from cyclones commet it's a drawing tablet. i have no use for 1 i can't draw (but i would take 1 for free.... and of course probably sell it!)
I can't draw for my life. I would probably be even worse with a wacom tablet lol! Gratz :P
I do well with Scratch, considering I'm not even in 6th grade yet, but Flash is harder.
man, I'm only third grade and I really really am bad at flash. (well, Flash gif animator)
Flash is much harder. I am going into 9th grade, and I am having a bit of difficulty. It is starting to get fairly easy though.

I'm currently at past if conditionals, loops, and am moving into OOP (Yaaayyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!) Anyways, there also are a lot more things going on... Like making games for my TI-84 calculator, finishing up explosive racing, getting to work on 3d in scratch, watching episodes of bobobo-bobo-bo, ect.

(view all replies)I saw like 40 episodes over the course of a week once. I found them online :P btw, Java is much harder than Flash. What IDE are you using? I tried JCoder, but gave up shortly after getting it. I hear Greenfoot is easier.

You've downloaded the beta right? If so, do you know how to set a list to equal all the values of another list? I'm making my Game of Life using 2 lists, CurrentState and NextState and need to change Nextstate into CurrentState when it finishes drawing.

Yeah, I'm having the same problem. But there's so much I want to do with Scratch! I still have like ten games I want to make, I thought of another one yesterday, "Pirates vs. Ninjas: Who WOULD Win?". Too much to do!
