Assuming that the area of the base triangly, the larg one is 10, and for each iteration you take away the new triangle made, the middle one for the second iteration, and do this infinitely, our figure now has no area although it has infinitely many triangles. Similar to how 0.9999999999...... is equal to one.
If you think of these as numbers in base 9 then iteration o is 1, iteration 1 is 10, 2 is 100, and n will be 1 with n zeros in the Super language we can call these one, super, super-super, ... in the Super gsket we are doing base ten!
click 2 remixes up top ^ and click on S65's. He took my scripts and optimized them for speed. His version confuses me vastly, but it finishes in less than 5 seconds on average.
Cool! (You notice how the sierpinski gasket is a lot like the triforce?!? ( Maybe the triforce was modeled after it, or maybe... vice versa (The latter is less likely. (Unless you live in hyrule)
no, because it is not how many triangles there are within it, it is how many times a formula is applied. It is in the third "breaking" of the triangle, so it is the third iteration.

I had done one of these with my daughter in 1992 in ToolBook. I love yours.

Judging by the year, I would have to guess I am much younger than you!

I was not born by 1992 lol!

sighs lightly those odd symbols represent the tri-force or iteration two except it was stepped on by auto format

lol I know what the tri-force looks like
(view all replies)Comment Reply
cause it is a fractal, even though it looks like a tri-force

dude, the triforce is from Zelda. not from mario. but cool! how do you get the pen movements to do that?
(view all replies)Comment Reply
Download and see! I was kidding bout the mario thing, it makes sense in context with the conversation.
(view all replies)Comment Reply
no triforce srry!
(view all replies)Comment Reply
But triforce is totally a mario game!
(view all replies)Comment Reply
if you decide to make another version the pen color could change on each iteration and you could have the iteration number go up to 10
(view all replies)Comment Reply
Well, the most it would be able to fit for this with still seeing the pattern is 8, but it looked messy so I left it at 7.
(view all replies)Comment Reply
Well, that could work, but drawing in takes 3x longer per iteration. It would probably take like 6 minutes!

wow! That is fairly simple for such an amasing project. Reminds me of the mandelbrot project, but much less complex
(view all replies)Comment Reply
Yup! The Sierpinski Gasket is much less complex than the Set, which is why it is simpler.

i don't get it... whats interation? but its still cool. i could never make anything like this. i suck at using the pen tool.
(view all replies)Comment Reply
Iteration means the number of times the pattern is repeated. I was horrible with the pen until I got a lot of practice with it :). Try pressing space!
(view all replies)Comment Reply
no, because it is not how many triangles there are within it, it is how many times a formula is applied. It is in the third "breaking" of the triangle, so it is the third iteration.
