This was an interesting experiment. I usually don't trust people on the internet so I thought it was some sort of scam at first. It good to know that there are some people who don't have a hidden agenda :)

Well, a most interesting experiment! I'm surprised that people flagged it...even if it had been a scheme to get front page exposure, it is certainly very ingenious! Good project.

I find the results of this experiment quite astounding. Although over 90% of scratchers were willing to participate, a mere 3 skepticals (mainly already-famous scratchers like archmage) were able to bring it down, claiming that the need to love it meant that it was a hoax to be a front-page project, when in fact it seems that the point was to get some good but hidden projects onto front page, in addition to collecting data (which only 2 people were curious about; is scratch all about fame?)Funky

Of course the only reason why I put the loveit thing in in the first place was to confuse, so to some it might be controversial, and to others it might be okay. I wanted to learn about human nature, so I conducted this experiment.

While I do agree with that, it is not necessarily a bad thing to wish to better yourself. Think about this: Every single project starts with an idea. Most times on this site, the idea is allowed to be planted (like a seed), and it then whithers to the point of being forgotten. What my project allowed them to do was to bring that back to life, like a beam of light that can cure it. It is another window of opportunity, something each of us on scratch has probably at one point or another tried to get. For example, if you make several versions of the same project, it allows people to see your work many times. I myself have done this. But one problem with this is that if you do this, every single time that you do it, the project appears less and less amazing to yourself and to others. That is why I have not done that in ages. The reason why they posted their links and were willing to press love it was not to better themselves, but to better the whole scratch community. Think hard. Have any game you have made on this based off anything you have seen before? if so, then whatever it is based off of has helped better your projects, giving you new, original ideas.

Every project that gets automatically deleted by the community is checked by the Scratch Team and restored if it should not have been removed. In this particular case the project was restored within a day.

i did not mean you specifically. I know you did not press it. I did say in the project notes that the people who did can choose to take it off if they want to. If it makes u feel any better, I took off mine. I had only pressed it because I participated in it.
