helltank helltank 1 year, 10 months ago

this is completely random. yet, it works!

ScratchDude101 ScratchDude101 2 years, 9 months ago

It is, very clearly, though, a Sierpinski Gasket..mine didn't take too long and it was online! :D Only 5mins.

i gonna count how many tri-force like objects there are at 10:30

ScratchDude101 ScratchDude101 2 years, 9 months ago

Yeah, I thought it would be a Tri-Force...LOL

cynderquil cynderquil 2 years, 9 months ago

I was viewing this for the 83rd time and realized that there were Like Infinate something triforces

DarthPickley DarthPickley 2 years, 9 months ago

Infinite is exactly right. it is a fractal. it repeats itself for towards infinite iterations, sort of like with CycloneFractal you can see in the More projects space of Cyclone103. ==> anyways fractals are cool. they are really just awesome.

daftpunker daftpunker 2 years, 11 months ago

I see... the Triforce!!!

DarthPickley DarthPickley 2 years, 9 months ago

no it is a sierpinski gasket it is a fractal.

My Toolbook program was like this one on the Chaos Game.

Fractal Fractal 3 years, 11 months ago

It's a Fractal, rather like my Mandelbrot Generator, which allows you to zoom: (link to project)

Fractal Fractal 3 years, 11 months ago

Looking at your project, the speed is very good because it's a lot simpler. I think it could be made faster by using parallelism. i.e.: your "pen" sprite could be repeated and I think you'd need more "point" sprites too. I was quite surprised when I discovered that 8 sprites redering my Mandelbrot images were 8x faster than one sprite doing the work. This is quite unlike most other programming languages.

Fractal Fractal 3 years, 11 months ago

Hmm my original reply comment has become lost - it's no longer visible. Anyway, I said "40 maximum iterations". I really worked at the code to make it speed-efficient. I also used Scratch's parallelism to speed things up, though the speed of a full-res render is still very slow IMHO. Well, that's Scratch. I'm happy to discuss the ins and outs of my Mandelbrot project - but perhaps on my project page is a better place.

Cyclone103 Cyclone103 3 years, 11 months ago

I used 16 since mine did not zoom, and it is very lo-res to begin with.

Cyclone103 Cyclone103 3 years, 11 months ago

Yes it is! I also made a Mandelbrot, and tried to make interactive zooming like yours but failed miserably lol! (link to project) I made it so it slowly focuses in on the picture. What was the maximum iterations you allowed in yours?

Amazing! I love how the dot just looks like it is glitching all over, but it is acctually makeing a Sierpinski gasket!

cool..

james_Mazz james_Mazz 4 years ago

Its a sierpinski gasket. I'm sorry about 30 minutes ago. I was under the stress of my math homework.

Cyclone103 Cyclone103 4 years ago

that replied 2 times lol, and I pressed the button once, sorry bout that!

Cyclone103 Cyclone103 4 years ago

its ok lol :)

james_Mazz james_Mazz 4 years ago

this is in that math gallery. um yeah it doesn't have anything to do with MATH

Cyclone103 Cyclone103 4 years ago

it is a fractal, which DOES relate to math. It is also derived using a purely mathematical equation.

Nice Pen Tool Programming

Cyclone103 Cyclone103 4 years ago

thanks! it was pretty easy, if u know the methods used to create it in the first place. Try doing this on a piece of paper!

monkeypiefairy monkeypiefairy 4 years ago

I've never heard of a triforce or a Sierpinski. I'll have to look into it.

Cyclone103 Cyclone103 4 years ago

lol a triforce is from a videogame, Sierpinski was a man who discovered this fractal.

fillygal fillygal 4 years ago

it looks like the triforce from The legend of zelda

Cyclone103 Cyclone103 4 years ago

yes, it does, even though it has nothing to do with the Legend of Zelda

Very cool! I'll have to look this Sierpinski person up!

geckofreak geckofreak 4 years ago

The only reason I know anything about fractals is because my crazy math teacher made us do research on them. I understand that your feild has nothing to do with fractals but they still are a very cool. I think you will find the connection between seirpinski's triangle and pascal's triangle very interesting.

geckofreak geckofreak 4 years ago

It suprises me that you are not familiar with sierpinskis triangle. You might also want to search for the connection between sierpinskis triangle and pascals triangle

yoyo-a-mania yoyo-a-mania 4 years ago

This is cool! how in the world did you do it!?

mres mres* 4 years ago

I really like this project. In fact, I liked it so much that I made a modified version of it ((link to project) In my version, you can move the corners of the triangle, and you can adjust how far the pen moves on each step. Give it a try and see how the patterns change.

DigiFox DigiFox 4 years ago

You know when mres likes it. You've got a REALLY good project.

boinoinoi boinoinoi 4 years ago

Just wondering: how's this a game?

Cyclone103 Cyclone103 4 years ago

its not, the method of drawing is called a game because like a game, it can be random (chaotic)

geckofreak geckofreak 4 years ago

Very good sierpinski gasket

(view all replies)
Cyclone103 Cyclone103 4 years ago

another problem is I scrapped it and deleted the file, so i would have to figure it out all over again. This one here, the gasket, was very easy. I am working on a hilbert curve as we speak

Cyclone103 Cyclone103 4 years ago

i found the dragon curve (fractal) was kind of hard to make in scratch, so I abandoned my attempts a while ago. do you think I should try again? if you do, do you know any good quick, simple formulas for it? the one i had required like an hour to draw only iteration number 7.

(view all replies)
Cyclone103 Cyclone103 4 years ago

lol the only problem here is that it is pixels so it isn't infinite. My other favorite fractal is a Hilbert Curve. What is your favorite?

(view all replies)
Cyclone103 Cyclone103 4 years ago
