cool but when you really think about it it is a lot of work for a simple task but custmizing it makes it fun! you should add hummidy effects!

the drag coefficient is close enough already, but it would just make for a more accurate terminal velocity.

I'm afraid I don't understand the question about reference point for the terminal velocity calculation. I assume you are calculating a drag force as a function of velocity and increasing the velocity until the acceleration due to the drag force matches the acceleration due to gravity. A very interesting project!
