Not yet a playable game, but it demonstrates some basics for a Mario-style game: -Jump on enemies to squash them. -Being hit decrements the number of lives, then makes you invincible for a second or two so you don't lose more lives from one hit. -Touching an enemy from above kills it; touching one from the side or from below kills you. TO DO: -Add more enemies. Just clone the mouse a few times. -More kinds of enemies. A bat or bee, maybe. -Add platforms. Just draw them on the stage in that dark gray color the floor is. -Probably needs some work to bounce off the bottom of platforms or jump through them sanely. -Start with fewer lives? 9 is traditional for a cat, but seems to make a fairly lame game.

when i jump i always seem to up nicely but then down a ton.

Add more enemies, use the scrollx thing, and add challenges. Otherwise, good basis for a good mario game. THUMPS UP

Thanks for making this. I REALY needed the secrets! To prevent your guy from getting stuck inside of platforms, put a DIFFERENT color UNDER it! :D I tried it, it worked. Thanks.

cool you should change it a bit though so on the animation script change it to if and else and in else change the costume to costume1 so the cat stands properly when not walking

This is such a good project to teach people how to use the left and right buttons and how to make platform games. I have used this in many of my projects(hope u don't mind) WELL DONE :) I LOVE IT!!!

Forgot to say: Use left and right arrows to move, spacebar to jump. Also, just tried adding a platform. It works pretty well, though you can walk IN the platform, and neither bounce off the bottom nor fly straight through like the two platform types in Mario games.
