You should spend mroe time into the f\gameplay element on this rather then the extras which they are good but it would be better if you showed us more of what scratch is capible of doing which isn't saying much but what ever
I love it though I did like in the first game where there were some points that you could choose where you want to go. I can create a version combining the two games if you want me to.
9 Months and Two weeks ago I was sitting at my computer desk, waiting for this to be released into the wild world of scratch. 9 months later it still isn't old!
Lol, nice. When I saw that hologram part I thought: "...Wesker?" x3 Great job, man. You got a good team. You've come a long way, with a program like this. x3. Again, brilliant.
Very nice presentation. Programming wise though I didn't see anything out of the ordinary, and the whole DG3D thing sort of sounds like a gimmick. If this is just a concept for DG3D then fine, but seriously every time I see an attempt to make a 3D engine in Scratch it fails. This seemed more like a slide show then 3d. Oh and also I couldn't follow the story at all. I was still immensely impressed by the intro though, looked harder to make then the rest of the game.
well, DG3D isnt supposed to be scratch 3D, just a 3D perspective. this used a test for my DG3D. as for the story, i took out more than 90% of the story for scratch. i dont want the full story on scratch yet. the intro took a very long time, but the art took the longest. i can program everything in a day, but the art is another story.
story and concept art (not scratch related) took me about five years. making it on scratch took alittle less just because i needed testing to try out my 3D concept. as for lag, if you script simplistic without long scripts and you stop forevers, no lag will appear. i released it to inspire scratch users. im working on a new JDI project which will make this be considered as a test.
dude, as incredibly impressed as i am with you for being able to make a 3d game in scratch, i regret to sat that ther'es a lot of room for improvement in this, but i look forward to seeing where you guys can take this!
dude, as incredibly impressed as i am with you for being able to make a 3d game in scratch, i regret to sat that ther'es a lot of room for improvement in this, but i look forward to seeing where you guys can take this!
This is amazing. Just the intro took you five years? That's a long time. I worked on a project for two years and then it got deleted. But man, five years? That's almost a third of my life! Love + Fave.
:P so true... scratch needs a spell check... i rushed the last week (thats why spelling issues took place). well, im still debating a few things on the next one, i will say however im perfecting a rain effect and mirror effect as i type :D
This just shows what Scratch can really do! Everything is perfect, this game must of took months because of the unique gameplay, scripts and graphics! I can't wait for the full game...
LOLOLOL DG3D DESIGN. The engine is Scratch and no more. Does this game have a credits section for the sounds(most from Valve, i.e. from the CS:S rifle and the Portal/Source sounds)?
didnt think about the sound... i will do that next time. as for DG3D, its not an engine, its the script and usage design. plus the DG3D here was a test, when i release a demo for the real DG3D you will understand.
Hey ChaoticD I finally figured out how to make a sound repeat but stop at a certain point. However, the longer the sound is, the longer my script needs to be, so I'll still consult your tips project to see if your way is shorter (or longer) or the same. Thank You.
Skalled
hey i feel pretty dumb asking this but how can I upload my scratch projects to my website, cause i cant figure it out????? LMAO :) (I use devhub for my site)
Judgement Day Independence Prologue uses DG3D design which gives the scratcher an easier time to create 3d environments.
This project in its history has received front page for top viewed as well as top loved. thank you.
This project has been created specifically as my example of something you can do on scratch that most wouldn't try to do. I hope this project inspires you and that you understand that scratch isnt limited and that anything you imagine, you can create.
This project, even though in production for five years, this scratch version has a very toned down script/writing as i didn't want to spoil the game if it releases onto game systems. programming and building the actual game after artwork took about a week total meaning about 100 hours put into the actual game design. i had a large 3rd level, however i misplaced it from making the 3rd level first, end second, intro 3rd, and level 1 and 2 last. this scratch version is only a test for my DG3D design to see how it will work for future projects and for possibly larger JDI levels in the future even with me needing to downgrade what i have as script and level design.
i hope everyone enjoys the game and i will try to find level 3. thanks and make sure to press love it.

this was technically a test
a fantastically impressive 3d design for your future game. I hope you finish it up soon so I can see the improvements mentioned in the notification.
il have a test demo out in a few weeks.

(view all replies)I love it though I did like in the first game where there were some points that you could choose where you want to go. I can create a version combining the two games if you want me to.
no, i will be releasing two remade versions of the original in the future.
I love the transition from the main menu to the start of the game, that's really cool, it's like playing on a console video game.
thanks. so your back huh? long time no see
(view all replies)You are WAY better than 08jackt, even though it took you 5 years to make. I liked the sprites, good storyline!
wait till you see the next...
can I use the sprites ?
i would rather you not
best game evah
haha, until the next...
THIS IS AWESOME! I love this game's story! I don't even care if level 3 was too short!
the mech wasnt actually supposed to be there at all. it was supposed to be the final boss with a scrolling cover system. after a sniper section
(view all replies)agreed, but i made the sountrack.
(view all replies)thanks. im glad you liked it.
(view all replies)Here's a Guide for your new game, I didn't want to spam your other project: (link to forums)

I love this game it is sooooooo epic the graphics are so great. Brilliant job!!!!! :)
thank you. im glad you enjoy it.
This really puts scratch to the limit, you should make an sandbox version for people to mess around with, like an cube?
i will be releasing a new and improved design tutorial in the future. i will also be upgrading past games with it.
Lol, nice. When I saw that hologram part I thought: "...Wesker?" x3 Great job, man. You got a good team. You've come a long way, with a program like this. x3. Again, brilliant.
hehe, we have, but this wasnt a team project. XP and this was basically a test of my 3D design concept
(view all replies)I LOVE IT!!! How did you make the brilliant graphics?
scratch :)
how did u make the movements so smooth
DG3D Design template i developed
how?how do you do this? AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thank you. i will be releasing much greater things in the future
Very polished graphics and animations! Try another genre

(view all replies)I like this game
i do to :)
Wow!!! Thats really good! Its more of a story than a game though...
theres not that much story to this version...
(view all replies)wow, just wow.
XD im glad you like it
that took you 5 years to make?
thats including concept art, story (not really shown here) and other aspects. not necissarily the scratch version itself
(view all replies)Make a sequel! This is awesome!
a sequel? this isnt even the first game XD
(view all replies)awesome game! Lots of spelling and grammar stuff though.
i know..... i need to update the grammar....

THIS IS AWFUL, WHY WOULD ANYBODY WANT TO PLAY THIS IT'S... *game loads* ... oh I am so sorry......
lol?
epic
thank you. i really hope to expand this concept. more scratch users need to realize some of the cool things they can do on scratch
How long did it take to make this its wonderfull! I dont even know how you got all this stuff to work and still not be laggy!
story and concept art (not scratch related) took me about five years. making it on scratch took alittle less just because i needed testing to try out my 3D concept. as for lag, if you script simplistic without long scripts and you stop forevers, no lag will appear. i released it to inspire scratch users. im working on a new JDI project which will make this be considered as a test.
(view all replies)wow i like the intro and the credits(and the game)
lol, thank you. i really hope to see more games on scratch without limitation on mind.
:D :D Epicness in a bottle of scratch! Meow! For the win! :D
lol
dude, as incredibly impressed as i am with you for being able to make a 3d game in scratch, i regret to sat that ther'es a lot of room for improvement in this, but i look forward to seeing where you guys can take this!

yeah, most of those years work didnt make it into scratch. concept art, story, the 3d design, it all took time.
(view all replies)it's kinda sad that someone who can make such good games can't spell...when's the next 1 coming out?
:P so true... scratch needs a spell check... i rushed the last week (thats why spelling issues took place). well, im still debating a few things on the next one, i will say however im perfecting a rain effect and mirror effect as i type :D

(view all replies)Wow, and I thought the sound design and presentation in my game was good until I saw this... Amazing job.
Anything can be designed in scratch, keep at it. Plus, this will soon be concidered a full test as DG3D 2.0 is almost ready.

Look at the script for the background in my new dg world 2 beta menu. Its the correct way to stop music that loops forever without lag
(view all replies)I have this in my old projects.
im working on the tips project.... but im trying to get my dg3d technique 100% first
(view all replies)The best presentation mode I ever seen in scratch 5/5 the game is very cool great work!! I love it!
im very glad you enjoy it.
AWESOME!!
:)
(view all replies)wow more than 1000 views O_O
yep
(view all replies)CCCCCCCCCCCCoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TTTThhhhhAAAAnnnnnKKKssss!!!
awesome but why are you no longer fighting the monsters?
this is the prologue, the "monsters" don't appear until the actual game. this is a few hundred years before the true game.
(view all replies)stunning.... everything was perfect but you put are instead of our
i am sorry about that. i will spell check constantly for future attempts. :P
(view all replies)I can't believe you spent 5 years working on the game this project leads up to. I can't wait for the real thing, when's it coming out?
5 years mostly working on storyline for this and the full game. this is only about 2% of the story i had planned for the prologue. i dont know
Chaotic D this is AWESOME!!!!!!Pretty much i like the graphics
im glad you like it. i have updated the graphic quality alot for future games however.
(view all replies)I think you might like my game "shoot 'em up"... It's a shooting game but much more basic.
Well, well pretty good. Where did you find the time for that sort of program? It's awesome!!!
im glad you enjoy it. everything is made in scratch. things do take time however.
(view all replies)Iv'e played this game about a billion times! It deserves MUCH more views! And to be on the front page for a second time!
haha, wait and see if something might show 200x better in the future
so awesome
hehe, glad you like it
epic
thank you. i love to see as many comments from people as possible.
