Cool project! Maybe you could add some stones or pebbles that people could put on the clay mask to decorate it.

This is fun - I made something kind of african looking. You could keep the lines completely off the white area if you made a white masking sprite (no pun intended) that had a mask-shaped hole in it. The pen won't draw on a sprite. Maybe for the next version!
