That sounds really odd. Are you behind a firewall? Are you using a different computer when you use Scratch? You could ask in the forums, someone who knows how the share code works might be able to offer more insight. Someone else may have even had the same problem.
It's definitely a powerful language, though a little slow. I think the strengths are drawing animated sprites, but it has the potential to teach children about object oriented programming in an easy to understand manner, as well.
Wow! Two comments from me here:
(1) I remember writing a Mandelbrot fractal program in BASIC and that was a nightmare. This is a brilliant implementation using Scratch.
(2) Like all your programs, this one puts to rest any suggestion that Scratch is limited to just simple animations. I agree with Canthiar - even your non-working programs would be useful for anyone wanting to explore more complex ideas. Remember the fundamental principle behind Logo .... you learn by making mistakes and finding the solution.
Download "Mandelbrot"(one sprite and one script) and open it in Scratch
Project Notes
This is my favorite program to test out new programming languages.
The program runs a little slow, but it was more of a learning experience for me to see how Scratch works.

What's wrong with them? Have you had somebody look at them? You could share a few purely for suggestions on how to fix them.
