A completely variable-based platform game!
this is designed to be remixed, it is just an engine. i didn't spend a whole lot of time on the level design for this reason.
if you get stuck, press 'p' and select restart. you will lose a life if you do.
-arrow keys: move
-p: pause
-spacebar: select option
if you want to edit it and make your own levels, here are the instructions:
1. open the 'level1 objects' list and delete or add every variable that you wish to have an obstacle there.
2. THE LAST ITEM IN THE LIST IS THE DOOR.
3. repeat for every level you want to edit.
4. if you want to add additional levels after the initial ten, then make a list for the level objects.
5. you must add two seperate scripts to make this work.
first the first script under forever, is the load level script. you must copy the previous one and replace the previous level's script name where it is indicated. then add your list's name in place of the second part.
6. then go to near the bottom, and look at the directions there.
please give credit and post a link if you remix.

Level 6 is nearly impossible with how fast he's going. I love the concept, but could you PLEASE slow it down?
Got past level 6 by a sheer strooke of luck from jamming the buttons.

It's an engine, so it's designed to be remixed, and you can make whatever changes you want to. I must warn you, though, that when Jimothy (aka CO_OD) made this, the bottom third of the script WOULDN'T LOAD. Also, there are two publicized cases where the script had to be cut off to fit in their computer's memories. (That's why no one's done it yet.)

Level 6 is hard!
This is really cool. You should make other variable based games, such as a variable based scroller or a variable based tower defense.
since you said so, youll be the first to hear about this. i am currently working on another 0s 1s variable based game that (so far) is a whole lot cooler than this one. its not an engine, so the gameplay is more perfected and resolute. i have no idea when ill be finished but ill certainly upload it when i am

(view all replies)ive actually attempted both of those. notice the lag in between loading levels on this? if it was a scroller it would be like that for every frame, so i gave up. but the tower defense is promising, ill tell you if i post it

How long did this take you? This isn't any random project how did you not run out of scripting room? So many questions.
a very long time. by the end scratch wouldnt load the bottom third of the script so i couldnt see it
