Also, I don't think Max would be so stupid to leave a window open, at night, with an emerald in the house. Of course he'll lock every door and every window! But what does that mean to a thief when he has master-keys, a glazier's diamond and other things that are so important for theft.
But Ray is not a man. He's a bit older than Max. And, when Ray kidnaps her, I think he should, as all kidnappers, either plug her mouth or stun her. I know, it might be violent, but it's real life. Also, he wouldn't drag Maple by the arm, he sould carry her, maybe in a sack.
