This is my version of the classic computer game Hunt the Wumpus.
It differs from the original in subtile ways, but hopefully you'll still have fun. Each time you click the green flag the maze is randomized.
Instructions are included.

He's really harry with big fangs! If you walk into his cave (instead of shooting an arrow in there) you'll see him... for an instant before he eats you alive!

I really like it Dad, only thing I noticed, is when I shoot an arrow and it says I missed, it also shoots a second one, then the screen goes black.

Yes, the game is fairly easy. To make it more difficult, try to win without dying even once.
(view all replies)i just wanted to let you know that sometimes when the bats carry you off...it will glitch up and keep the bats in the backround...or at the end of the game, the room numbers will still be there when you win...hope this helps
Thanks for the reply. Yes, I have noticed that if the bats drop you in a room full of bats you'll be left with a black screen. I think I'll fix that bug and upload it again.

This is awesome! I love it. You've hit on a great combination of graphics, simple game play with just enough mapping required. Really nice. I attempted something similar with a 200 room maze but it isn't nearly as playable. You can check it out if you want here (link to project)

Wow, this is hard. But it's still awesome. I'm going to keep trying until I finally hunt down the Wumpus!
