Wow...this is amazing! It reminds me of Myst. Unfortunately I don't have time right now to explore all of it's secrets but it's very impressive! Did you use SketchUp for the graphics?
No, sketchup is not good for final 3d graphics, it cant use lighting, reflection, I used Lightwave 8.5 . It's a 3d application usually used for animation, but I used it for this game.
There is a key in the coco clock, but how do you get it out? And a stone pig in the lock-o-matic. The code is 1983. How do you enter the numnbers in the corect way?
Very good game. But the two things that make it strike out are the pictures and the memory that the game has. Like when you open a shelf and come back to find it still open. I have tried to make point and click games like this myself. But I struggle with the graphics. Where did u get the these pics? Did you make the yourself? If you did then how?
It seems that all your computer is good for is throwing at dinosaurs. Unfortunately, dinosaurs are now extinct, so I don't know what you're keeping it for.
Download the 16 sprites and 142 scripts of "GROUNDED" and open it in Scratch
Project Notes
GROUNDED Your Goal: GET OUT!!!™
This online version has less music, lower quality images, and some fixed bugs. Still, download for best results.
You've been grounded. There is a way out, you must navigate around using point and click and solve difficult puzzles.
NAVIGATION: To move, move the mouse near the left of the screen to go left, and near the right of the screen to go right, and click. The mouse will change appropriately. Never take the mouse off the screen, or it will disappear and you won't be able to move. When the mouse turns into a magnifying glass, you can zoom in on something. Click to zoom in. You may need to move the mouse around to be able to zoom in on an object because some of it is color coded. When you are zoomed in on an object, move your mouse near the bottom of the screen and click to zoom out. The mouse will change appropriately. When there is something you can move, press, or pick up, the mouse will change into a open hand.
NOTES: The music will stop, you have to figure out how to turn it off. And that picture of the fence with the glass frame? That's a window!!!
Please comment! And click love it! YOU KNOW YOU LOVE ME! SURRENDER TO THE POWER OF LOVE! WHY FIGHT IT? LOVE!!!
Yay! Over 500 views!
Sequel: A sequel is currently in progress. It is called: "GROUNDED II: Hotel Griven." It'll make GROUNDED look like Crimson Room. Oh wait... never mind. But seriously. It's gonna be awesome. It takes place in a full sized hotel, so it's like 10 times the size of GROUNDED. Not Memory-wise though. I hope. Lalallama posted a slideshow trailer of test renders here: (link to project)
CREDITS: Made by BenTheNeighbor. Music by Paul McCartney. Applcations used: Lightwave 8.5, Scratch 1.3, and Photoshop.
