Lol, no, sir! I did this using good ol' Photoshop! (I made the checkers, then offset them by four pixels each for 21 images. After that, it was a simple "spherize" effect under Filter [for every image]. Then I cut out the borders and applied a nice, shiny mask to every frame!) I was actually going to use Processing to create the balls, but I couldn't figure out how to project my image onto a sphere... =/
