Well, Blender is not easy to learn... It took me years. but there are good resources now to help you learn faster, google 'blender tutorials' and 'blender video tutorials' and ask questions at blenderartists.org
I really, really need help with blender, addzero. How can I get a very simple animation from blender into a video file (AVI, MP4...) sorry to go off topic from scratch, PLEASE reply!!!
Sorry for the slow reply.
go through the instuctions I left here: (link to project) and google for "blender video tutorials" this might help: http://3dnoob.com/tutorials/how-save-animations-blender
i have a question. don't worry if ya can't do this, but for my newest game, i really need soemthign like this except green. and it ends when it looks kinda liek the nickelodeon logo, instead of leaving a square area and going left.
Did you know there is a new version of blender? You can simulate things like fabric and fur! I might make a scratch project like this with some of the stuff I have made on blender. Keep making projects like this. They are so cool! Q. Do you know how to save an animation as a movie file?
Yeah, you could do a better one. I have maya 6, but I'm not familiar with shading, just animation. I was going for aliased toon shading for small png files.
Yeah, complicated fluid simulations can take a ton of harddrive space, ram and time... this was a simple one, it took about 20 minutes to simulate... and probably less than 100mb of hd space... just rotating objects is no problem for most computers, it's much faster than fluid... the final step though, rendering, can take seconds or hours depending on materials, reflections, lights, shadows, how complicated the objects are... usually scenes can be optimized to render much faster with little to no visual difference... you'll learn how to make things more efficient over time. Keep at it and keep asking questions and going through tutorials. :)
Did you see the instructions I left here? - (link to project) where you able to follow it? Select the object you want to rotate, set an animation key at frame 1 with the "i" key. then change to frame 20, with the object selected, press the "r" key and move the mouse, the x, y, and z keys constrain it to those axises. move it to 90 degrees, (hold the Ctrl key to snap to 5 degree increments while you're rotating.) then set another key. now move through time with the arrow keys... it's really hard to explain here. look for the video tutorials... they explain it better than I can. http://www.google.com/search?q=blender+video+tutorials
its freeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!! if you get it, teach meh how to do stuff. I can add, rotate, stretch, add color, and that is LITERALLY it. I would love to know how to do liquid effects like this, and get the rendered images of angles or animations like these.
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT THE HECK????? HOW THE????? WHA???????? WHAT PROGRAM DID YOU USE FOR THAT??????????????????????????? OMG THATS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! NEVER TAKE THIS PROJECT OFF THE SITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Except pick "AVI codec" or "FFMpeg"

hmm... let me know if you'd like a better render. I have maya, which uses mental ray (insanity)

Most impressive! I had no idea Blender could do fluids. Wow.

How much space did this one take, and how long did it take to render?
(view all replies)Comment Reply
Thats awesome! But a lot of RAM..........I hope a rotated object with only like 30 frames takes up a lot less!
