Video Poker V1 - 03/12/08
Finally completed.
Instructions are included in the game.
Click on help for information on how to play.
Click on Options to change background or to turn off sound.
Glitches - The only problem I have found so far is that the sound won't turn off on the options menu. But it does when downloaded. Please report any other problems you find, thanks.
Many thanks to Paddle2See. I couldn't of made this project without his help. He remade a lot of it and taught me about variable lists.
Please note - I have not copied Paddle2SeeFixIt's work, He just helped me with the way that the poker hands are recognised. This project is my work, with some added scripts from Paddle2see.
Feel free to remix this or use any sprites or scripts. But please give credit to me and Paddle2See.

would be convenient if the game would move a little faster.
nice game. Video poker games usually give you the chance to discard any of your cards and draw once to make your hand better. And it would be nice if the cards didn't disappear so soon so you could see what you got.
Thanks. This project is intended to a basic 'template' which can be improved, so there is always a possibility that I could add features lik you suggested.

Sweet! I made $15 (got 3 of a kind twice). Nice job! By the way...do these pay-offs line up with what real video poker machines pay?
I think real poker machines have various pay-offs, depending on the machine.I just made up the amount of money you win, but they are in the correct order- you get more money the better the winning poker hand. And of course, the more you bet, the more you win. I don't really like video poker much, but I thought it would be a good basic starting point for other poker games, because it is simple and (relatively) easy to make. Perhaps the main issue with a full poker game would be programming the AI
