That won't work. The color sensing system works by sensing the brown. If I increase the change in y when the bike is touching brown then the bike doesn't sink, however it doesn't turn as well. This was the best I could balance it, so you will just have to go slowly to avoid sinking.
I did a little experimentation and may have come up with an approach you could use to decrease the ground penetration. Check this out:

This is very good! I can see you put a lot of work in to it, what with all the different courses and the animated biker. I had a bit of trouble right out of the blocks since the bike came zipping down the first hill and went right through the ground...I found that if I braked, I could overcome that. Maybe you could code to detetct when the bike is burying into the ground and just stop the simulation and have the bike crash? Anyway, this looks like it's going to be a great game!
Thanks. I don't know why the bike came zipping down. It does that with me sometimes, it also rolls back before i start, but I don't know why. The speed is set to zero at the beginning of each stage. I have also tryed to make the game realise when you crash and display 'Game Over'. i did it by making it sense if the bike is over 180 degrees or under 0 degrees. This worked when it crashed, however, the bike somtimes turns during the change of levels or at the start of the stage, so I deleted the scripts. I have also tryed color sensing, but that didn't work either. Do you have any other suggestions?
PLEASE DOWNLOAD AND RUN IN PRESENTATION MODE, IT IS A LOT LESS BUGGY, ESPECIALLY IN FREE RIDE.
This game was kind of made by accident. I was experimenting with ways of making somthing roll and turn, accordingly. I ended up with a working, rolling bike, that I made into a game. Ride your bike to the next stage, without crashing. If you go too fast, you will crash and fall off the screen. Also watch the energy bar. When you pedal, it will decrease. Free-wheel on the downhills and pedal on the uphills to conserve energy. Start - begin the main game, made up of 5 levels, each with 4 stages. In total - 20 stages (not including free ride) Free Ride - not to be confused with free-riding - I am actually a freerider/downhiller.(Free Ride was the only name I could think of) ride your bike along 10 different pieces of terrain to test the bikes rolling and physics with unlimited energy. Instructions - The controls and other pieces of info. The game is still quite buggy. Somtimes when you go down a steep hill, you will fly off the hill and fly around the edges of the screen. Some stages don't work very well,as the terrain is too steep or too bumpy. In my opinion, the stages that work the best are Level 1, stages 2 and 3. The physics, aren't quite perfect, but the basics are there: You will use more more energy going up steeper hills, you will travel faster down steeper hills, etc.
I tryed to make this a side-scrolling game, but the rolling physics didn't work. One part thatcould be improved is the physics when you are in the air. It was purely luck that the rider doesn't start spinnning out of control, like I expected, when he is in the air, but it can be improved. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this game, :D 04lukeb.

try making the black lines thicker, that might allow more speed for the color sensing system.
