Well, x-y (shapeflag) hitTests are pretty vital for games especially platformers. But scratch lacks so much more than that. I could probably make a list of all the advantages flash has over scratch.
Wow once again archmage and I are considered top scratchers. But archmage knows more about advanced games than I do. I'm only a freshman in high school, though :P
it may not be much but this is my best project(that i finished)its called z-ball. i may not be as great as any of yours are but at least i put in my best efforts
P.S.i think you,paddle2see,and archmage are the best scratchers!!!

Well scratch is pretty horrible for making decent games. Once I understood how to make decent flash games scratch came naturally.
still, I could not make games as good as you (or better).
I practiced making games in flash for a long time (1-1.5 years). I wasn't born with this knowledge or anything.
but I suck at games compared to you.
I am decent at game programming. I can't do complex physics simulations or anything but I can code most flash games.

I am in high school too :) I learned a lot from my computer programming courses :)
