Ah! You must be the new students! Welcome to the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I am Aidan Sagittarius, the current Headmaster. I am the Wizard that makes all of our school rules, deals with expulsion, and much more, simmilar in a few ways to -erm, what's it called? Oh! A principal, they take care of muggle schools, am I right? Yes, a very hard task indeed. There are 4 houses: Gryffindor, in which students are brave and valiant, Slytherin, where they only accept Pure-bloods, and mostly sly, powerful stundents. Ravenclaw is home to spontaneous and intellegant students, while Hufflepuff teaches the hard-working, loyal sort. The sorting hat will sort you into your house, where you will share dormitories and most classes with the other children sorted into your house. You will stay here for 7 years (unless you are expelled or anything worse), when you are in your 3rd year, you will be allowed in Hogsmeade, and in the 7th year you will learn how to Apparate (instantly transporting yourself somewhere). Notes: You can choose from a Student (you always start as a First Year if you choose this) A teacher (must be over 25, does not have to be 100% human), or a magical human-like creature. (The main threat in the game is the only living heir of the now deceased Lord Voldemort, who's name no one has ever revealed, but most call him "The Son of Voldemort". (He is not Voldemort's son, but the child of a pair of his most faithful Death Eaters.) The way he will be stopped is a secret, but for now, he is in hiding, and is still a child. ;)
Sorting Rules:
You do NOT get to choose what house your character is in, but you create the personality which may influence the hat's decision. :)
Also, no God-modding or Power-playing, the Son of Voldemort will be defeated at one point by a GROUP of students. (in a long, long time)
