ya no matt, the reason this isnt working is that no one is contributing their time or giving ideas and i cant just do the whole thing myself. So before i ditch this im gonna at least get some loyal members and accually TRY to do this thing. Ur welcome to quit if u want.

yup this is the gallery. We havent really done anything yet...the story is that we started in a different gallery with a different leader, the leader wasnt good and we wernt doing anything, so the leader bailed on us, the whole thing was a mess and everyone exept me quit. So im trying 2 find some good scratchers that would like 2 join. Right now, its me, and dasketchmaster, who is really good at making games. Some of his best ones are above. So r u in?

Ok ive asked a few more people if they would like to join. One of them has said yes, we will c how many more do. In the meantime, we need to figure out what we r going to do.
If it is k with everyone, I am going 2 add someone 2 SGX. Hes a really good scratcher and i know he will stick with us.
Ok, listen up everyone! We need 2 get moving! I think the plot should b that u r in a royal family and ur dad is the king 2 a kingdom. U have an older brother that wants the throne REALLY bad, so he plans 2 kill his dad 2 get it. U have 2 warn ur dad that he is going 2 b murdered, but ur bro finds out that u know and he is sending people 2 kill u so u cant warn ur dad. This would b in midevil times. Also, ur bros wife could b a sourseress and she could cast spells and stuff.
Ur dad would b in maybe his late 40s, ur bro around 20, and u maybe 15. The game would b a mix of battle, quests, and u would have 2 think a little 2. So what does everyone think?
Hey everyone, I just want to let you know that if your dedication pays off I would be more than happy tocome back to SGX. This is not for any selfish reason, i promise. I've been working on numerous projects at one time, and on top of that I have the stomach flu. Good luck rebuilding the company. I have faith in you! I can't make any promises, but I might return in the future.
I guess this means eather me or matt is leader. And if you all want to quit, then quit. No matter what, even if everyone quits, I will make it my duty to keep SGX alive. But first, i need to know if Matt and Spine are with me. Even if they arnt, i will keep this going. I know some good scratcher that I can recrut.
i took my stuff out because i am no longer a member of sgx. Sorry. but the good news is u won the election =D

(view all replies)well, sgx is dead. Seriously. Unless technoman and gamegeek come back. we really aren't alike in favrite games and stuff. I remain in this for 2 weeks, and if i dont comment, that means i quit. technoman or gamegeek, if u come back reply.
Guys I quit! This is a waste of my time and have other things I need to attend to.
Ok guys... this is taking too long... I'm going to resign. I need to develop good projects, which I discovered I can do without this company. Thanks for all of your support and kindness. God luck in everything you do!
...*sigh*...once one person quits, they all do...thats why are deciding on a leader. That way things will move smoother and faster. We might have just decided on a plot, but u can leave. I no a really good scratcher that we could use and is interested in joining.

we need to think of a plot. everyone is having different ideas....we just need a simple one. lets start with a time-period, shall we? maybe middle ages, thats a classic. Maybe far future, thats also fairly common. Maybe oriental middle ages. Maybe modern days or near future and its world war 3, or if we want to be catchy, armegeddon.
I also think that we should hold the election after every big project unless the leader does really good and everyone decieds he/she should stay leader, or the leader is really really bad and is kicked out in the middle of the project.

I also think that 4 the game, the storyline, and the game itself, needs 2 b creative. There is 2 much of the good vs evil stuff when the good guy goes around, finds the bad guy thats cousing him trouble, and beats him. We need something more creative then that. Like maybe ur an alien and earth is invading ur planet, or u get lost in time cause ur an inventor and ur time machine goes beserk. Just something different.
that sounds good, but why would ur father kill you? i got another one like that:ur brother is the heir to the throne and is like 20 but ur father is only like 40 and ur brother wants power no, so he tries to kill the king and then u have to stop ur brother from killing ur father, the king.

(view all replies)i know!!!! good vs. evil is so lame if u dont do it right.... its really good if u do it right, but cutscenes are hard in games. So the plot will have to be pretty simple. How about ur a nobleman and that ur the youngest, and ur brother will become the king because ur father died and ur mother is long dead. ANd ur like 22 or something. And then ur brother makes a plan to kill the princess that is to be his wife...(continued)
i think that me, moocow, and matt will all vote 4 ourselves, so its up 2 gamegeek technoman and spine. Spine should post his vote on this gallery though 2 assure that he is still in SGX

Who was elected leader? And by the way, i think that our game should be rpg, and have some battles with a little bit of finding stuff. We should also have missions and possibly some platforming. Also, you should have to think a bit to. I no its a lot, but all of it together makes a perfect game. It should also have a good storyline, and maybe be a bit humerous. Have the player bond with the character.
thats too hard to do (or to laggy) with X Y scrolling. The leader is a tie between me, u and matt. U voting for u im guessing? Were holding the elections now. I agree with the thinking.

Ok everyone, the RPG should be part scavenger hunt! Wouldn't that be cool? How bout your a spaceman on another planet's colony. The alien's are nice, but other invaders captured your spaceship and you need to look for clues to find it and defeat the invaders. How does that sound? I will design all sprites if needed.

I like the general idea, all it needs is some fine tuning. Like maybe you get stuck in finland. Or russia. Or somewhere in micronesia.

Honestly we dont even need a leader, this is pointless. Look, tis whole election has taken over our business. We haven't even created any projects for a whole month. It's not worth it. Let's just call it a day, no leader, no arguments, no waiting. Let's get down to business.
and the elections almost done, spine says he votes for me and matt, if u dont beleive me ask about it on his 'chat room' project.
can u try making the scrolling engine for the rpg..... i've done scrolling with velos so many times that it makes me want to barf 0_0.... i'll try doing a battle engine or select a character or something.... or should technoman?

(view all replies)Guys we do not need to have an election every month. If we do then everyone will be preoccupied with that and not the game. Need need only one election. If we are going to have an election monthly then I quit.
