i hope that you realize that you can tweak a gallery so that only your members can add projects. thats what i do. :)

Ok everyone, I just had an idea. if i am still the leader, I will take on the responsibility of the welcome wagon. This is where i find new members and welcome them sand help them with any problems. I will do this whenever possible, and i have already started.

My skills are programming anything. I can do anything. I am NOT the BEST at making sprites but I can make them. I can do anything programming wise.

Hey guys when are the elections??? And where???? Also sorry I haven't been to active lately but I will for now on. I have been really busy so in about a day I will be extremely active. And since I am going to be really active and have a lot of freetime I can make the start of the rpg.

(view all replies)hey guys! I just wanted to say that I'm back after an incredibly busy week. I will be on scratch a lot more now. By the way, has anyone been working on the rpg? Anyway, I'm not really sure this whole elction thing is about.. I mean, do we need a leader? Cuz then everyone starts fighting and what not... I'm really happy with my position and now that my busy days are behind me I will do my best to be present andstrong and supportive.

ya i know.... helptheturtles is moving faster than i thought as for 1.4, SWEET!!!!! do you want to start it, or should i? if i did i'd have to wait and it WOULD go slowly... mayb like 2 weeks before i could post the demo with a 'delete me' sprite covering the screen....

as for the leader issue: the leader will only be like the president, and teh rest of the people in sgx the congress. we should hold elections each month. The president should only be the executive, so when we are thinking about letting someone in or making a game, the congress would vote on yes or no and if the majority says yes, the president can say no and then like 2/3 or 3/4 or something like that can still say yes and we can do it.
I am running for leader... oh no.... not working!!!! i WAS going to vote for gamegeek as my second, but now helptheturtles is running!!! :( and another rule that needs to exist:u have to vote for a person besides urself if ur running
Check that, everyone who wants to be the leader needs to sign up, and sign up quick, then everyone needs to vote for TWO people, so we can have a co-leader. PLEASE SIGN UP QUICK!!! I am running for leader.
Hey everyone, I am going to make a new SGX gallary because Laine is too busy latley. I think we need to all vote for a leader. You cant vote for yourself, and you can only vote for one person. I will count the votes in a little bit, so vote as soon as you can!
voting on a leader is okay.... but u should be able to vote for urself, but u should have 2 votes. that way u can still give urself a vote, but if u REALLY want to make 2 people win, u can. and people should ask to be in the election, that way if u dont want a vote for urself, u dont have to get any. and i will work on the game, as soon as 1.4 comes out and keshikrider demo is finished.
(view all replies)okay, i am best at sensors, scrolling, and verlocities i guess..... and scripting. i'm also good at figuring out how other projects work, and then editing that in my projects (like my platformer i used seancanoodles projects to figure it out) for a main character i think it should be the castle warden. i think the storyline should be that there is an attacking fief, and the warden needs to defend his castle. the main bad guy idk.... maybe the evil baron?
The manor system is the relationship between lords and vassals on a manor. A manor was like a small castle and the land around it. serfs were peasants tied to the land they owned.

(view all replies)Hey Gamegeek if u dnt mind i would like 2 make a suggestion. I think that everyone should share what they think they r the best at (b honest!), such as im best at animation, drawing, and thinking of ideas. Then, we should each get assigned a job 2 do based on what we say we're good at. Also, we should agree on the main character, main bad guy, and maybe a basic enemy to get started on. Then, we need a storyline and a basic plan on what the game is going to b like.
u should remake the gallery, lanie doesnt have enough time for it now. she is really sorry. u should be our leader!!!! lanie said that someone should remake the gallery, and i thught u would b best.

Alright, sounds good. I think I'm best at sprite design. I don't usually do this, but I will take a lot of time and work carefully on the sprites.

Alright everyone! My rpg is finished and up and running. i added it to the gallery. tell me what you think. it it part 2 out of 3... or 4.
Ok well my RPG is going nicely. It's not turn-based though; I HATE variables. It still has some though. It's more of a hands on-manipulative character game than fight sequences, but It has awesome sounds! Lol! If anyone wants me to find some great sound effects for them, just say the word and I'll give you a link.
I can do comedy and animation....

Y dosent GameGeek lead the game like we decided on and then we can have assignments of what were best at. I'm best at animation, drawing, and brainstorming, so my assignment can have 2 do with that. Maybe I could make the characters or help come up with the storyline.
okay, im gonna start a basic rpg engine..... i think i can handle it. it wil be side scrolling left-right. when u enter a battle, it will switch to a turn based thing.... actually, idk how sidescrolling it will be... demosthenes, u got any experience in turned based rpgs? or anyone for that matter?
I think a turn based RPG would be awesome. I guess the enemy would just have a "Pick Random" on costumes and attacks... lots of broadcasting...

(view all replies)I am just thinking that an x+y scroller would be best because there are a lot of x scrollers and people get tired of them. X and y scrollers don't have that many scripts. Maybe one or two more but thats it. I wish that my project was done so that I could do some of the stuff that takes a faster computer to do because I have an extremely fast comp. Lets see what you make and if there need to be any changes we can make them.

(view all replies)Guys, I'm sry to say this, but I dnt c ANY progress here. I think that we desperatly need to agree on something, get assigned jobs, and do this thing. The only thing we r doing NOW is adding our projects to the gallery and splitting apart. That isnt what SGX is about. It IS called Scratch Generation X. We became members to encorage people. At least that's y I became a member. So y dnt we start from scratch and make one of the best projects that this site has ever seen. Who's with me?

Hey guys. Once I get my game done I will be more active and will be able to start on some stuff for this company. The progress for my game: I have to just test level 5 and level 4 and add some stuff like plane sounds, a moving space background, credits and such. If anybody can find me a moving space background I would be grateful. Thanks.
