Okay, people let's get this thing started, Team OS! (How does Team OS sound?) First, we'll need to find a good way to do it. FoxDur's idea seemed to be okay, but is a lot different from a lot of other Operating Systems. What do you guys think? Next, we'll need to tell people about this. I'll make banners for Team OS and advertise it. Then, we'd just need to put it on the Operating Systems, and we're good.
Oh, like a word processor? Yeah, it's pretty easy. You pretty much make a costume for each letter, then you make it so when _ key pressed it switches to the costume that is the letter. Then, you make it stamp! I'm currently working on one. :) Hope that helped, fire!
THe great thing about being able to import and save is that there's no 10 megabyte limit, because you aren't sharing the project after you've done the importing! It might get a bit slow though.
Really? I thought clov worked on element. Well, I don't see why not, but no one has added anything yet. We need to get everything together. It's hard, because there isn't instant messaging here, so, well, here we are.
By the way, I'm going to speed up my work on Element 4.0, because I am going to completely start over for Element 5. I'll program Element 5 so that it is easier to add these projects. I'll also get element ready for this by making it so it uses less scripts so it takes up less room, and we have room for this stuff.
Well, for the projects, you upload the "app" for your OS. Your OS is saved on your computer, and you import the "app" project. An installer intalls it and makes sure it works, and you remove the installing script, you're done.
OK, so basically you're close to variables in element 5, the way it should work (with bit improvemet) is that when the icon is clicked, it sets the app variable to it's code. Let's say you have "Mario Game", and it's code is 13415879. When you click on it, it sets the variable to it's code, and brodcasts "start". The window starts, and the sprites for the program check during "start" if the code is where they came from, and start working if it is. Simple as that.
Ok. So with the version I think you should do, is that You press on and icon, "Mario Game", and it sets a "launch" variable to its code(Let's just say its 67890360) and brodcasts "start". The window starts when it received "start", and the game's sprites check during "start" if the code is matching from where they came from. If it is, they start, too. It's a bit easier, isn't it?

Well, not nearly.
Okay. I am nearly done with Sangle OS.
I made a sample version thing that I'm adding to see if anyone likes it.
You should put your Scratchapp Project up here.
(view all replies)Sorry I haven't been here for a while, I've been really busy with school.
So ,when are we going to do this?
What do you think of my idea project?
(view all replies)do what?
(view all replies)I don't know. It has been paused for quite a bit of time.
(view all replies)Does anyone here know how to make a "word" app???
No problem!

(view all replies)Hmmm?

Yeah, but it's not like you would download a hundred projects at a time, you know.
(view all replies)well i just export and importid like 10 sprites i think and only exporting took long
(view all replies)can i join? i am part of clov programming studios
But, well, okay, but what should you do?
(view all replies)Really? I thought clov worked on element. Well, I don't see why not, but no one has added anything yet. We need to get everything together. It's hard, because there isn't instant messaging here, so, well, here we are.
(view all replies)No, I mean not the operating system you use, the one you make.
(view all replies)What's your operating system?
(view all replies)We also need some cool name for this. How about Scratchers United?
Well, its over, and not really on the subject.
Taken. Unless you have any suggestions, I think it's fine.

Excactly. They need to do what I explained.

Oh. Well, that's how I think it should work.

(view all replies)Well, first, how do your apps launch in Element?
(view all replies)Ok, I'm here now, what should I do?
What do you think of my idea project? It's in the gallery now.
(view all replies)Ok. Well, I don't see why you should use list. The idea I have is a bit more constructive on terms of being easy to add apps on.
(view all replies)Ok. (view all replies)DsDude? What's that?
(view all replies)Okey dokey! I guess we'll wait for the contributions! See ya!
(view all replies)I did hobbs, so I dunno.
(view all replies)OK.
(view all replies)Well, how?
