i agree, you shouldnt strive to be "popular". instead, you should get involved with the scratch community. make projects. remix. comment on other projects. things will occur naturally. if people see you as just wanting to be popular for the sake of, then they'll be less likely to pay attention to you. good luck with scratch :-)

how easy is scratch?
Scratch is the easiest programming tool you will ever use. If doesn't require any training, just put blocks together and you are on your way.
