Greetings on Halloween (Boo!)
I saw Scratch at a great presentation during the MassCUE Conference at Foxboro, MA (USA) this week and am ready to get started. My install ran into an immediate problem, though. I am running Kubuntu 8.04 (Linux) and the .deb installer tells me I have a missing "libcairo2" dependency. Synaptic tells me it is installed. Any ideas?
[update] It looks like the libcairo2 library in 8.04 is not new enough. My computer also has a dual-boot with Ubuntu 9.04 and the installer worked great there. I'll soon be trying the "latest and greatest" with brand new Ubuntu/Kubuntu 9.10 and will report back about my installs there, too.

i'm new and this is really confusing. i've never really dealt with this thing.
how do you get friends?
Could you please tell us what you think is confusing, that would make it easier for us to help you. You can always click the support button next to the forum button.
To make friends, if you comment a lot on other projects (Tell them what you think about the project, and if they can improve something) then to add them to your friend list you go to their profile and click "Add to friends".
