We were looking at what meaning is, and where it comes from. We used sketchup to make the graphics.

Barnsley Fern

You have to be patient, but you will probably get a pretty fern.To change the way it looks, click on the black sliders to change the knob values. If you want to download the source, there are a couple other variables you can change if you feel like adding more knobs. This is a Barnsley fractal that was inspired by the source here http://www.geocities.com/bmw328driver/JavaFern.htmThere are some cool things to check out in the source, like how I made the sliders.

sierpinski

This is a fractal called Sierpinski's Gasket. It is a triangle within a triangle within a triangle... etc.1) Click three spots to make a triangle,2) Then click the green arrowTo move a specific corner, click it, then click where you want to move it to.How it works:the spider wants to get to the three points, but can never decide which one to go to. It picks one at random, gets half way there, and then changes its mind. At that point it picks a new fly, and goes after it. When it gets half way there, it picks a new one. Every time it changes its mind, it leaves a dot.
