Compulsive clicking may cause crash! http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/jroberts/185795_sm.png Piano Machine http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/jroberts/185792 Watch the balls bounce on the piano keys to make strange music. Click and drag any key to a new position for different musical effects. Click Rebound/Through icon to change how the balls interact with the piano keys. Rebound makes the balls bounce off the keys, whereas Through lets the balls pass through the keys. Click on the number icon to change the number of balls in motion. Click on the background to randomly change the direction of the bouncing balls. Download and modify this project and make your own music machine! Enjoy. http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/jroberts/185792_sm.png Play with your face http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/jroberts/185789 INSTRUCTIONS Click the Green Flag. Move the mouse over the photos to play with different image effects. Click the Green Flag again to restart. HOW I MADE THIS In some photos (like the top middle), the mouse position controls the amount of the image effect. In other photos (like the bottom middle), the mouse position controls the rate of change in the image effect. The first case uses the SET EFFECT block; the second cases uses the CHANGE EFFECT block. MORE IDEAS In these examples, one image effect is applied to each photo. You might want to apply two (or more) image effects to the same photo. For example, make the x-position control one effect and make the y-position control another effect. http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/jroberts/185789_sm.png Atack of the Evil house! http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/jroberts/185736 Press Flag to start http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/jroberts/185736_sm.png MyLittleTown http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/jroberts/142633 If you want to move, put your mouse where you want to go and press space. INSTRUCTIONS Press space bar to dance http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/jroberts/142629_sm.png 5 Aquarium http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/jroberts/142627 INSTRUCTIONS Click the Green Flag to start. HOW I MADE THIS * Fish rotation style is "flip left-right". * Fish change directions randomly. Every second, each fish has a 1-in-6 chance of changing direction. MORE IDEAS * Animate the seaweed. * The jelly fish and octopus behave differently. Give some of the other fish their own special behavior. http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/jroberts/142627_sm.png Doodle http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/jroberts/137538 You are stuck in class and are so bored you can't take it. There's nothing to do until you see the piece of paper on the desk. You're saved!! Draw a line, then use the arrow keys to climb along the line to get to the door. http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/jroberts/137538_sm.png SimpleCircuit http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/jroberts/137537 Inspired by orelochana's Electrical Circuit animation. When the switch is connected, moving the mouse over it switches it on but the bulb will only light up if all three components are connected (although it doesn't matter where. Holding down the space bar replaces all of the parts with their circuit drawing symbol. http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/jroberts/137537_sm.png MarbleRacer http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/jroberts/137536 INSTRUCTIONS: Use the arrow keys to race your marble around the track to the finish line. If you slide off onto the grass, it will slow you down. What's your best lap time? HOW IT WORKS: The marble has variables for its x and y velocities. The arrow keys make it accelerate by changing the velocities. The grass slows you down by multiplying the velocities by a fraction. THINGS TO TRY: * Make your own tracks by drawing a new background. Just use the same shade of green for the grass. * Make a new costume for the ball. * Make obstacles (even moving obstacles!) that slow you down or stop you, or ramps that speed you up. http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/jroberts/137536_sm.png Trampoline http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/jroberts/137535 INSTRUCTIONS Click the Green flag to start. Press arrow keys to do tricks. Each arrow key triggers a different trick. HOW I MADE THIS * The trampoline uses the fisheye effect to make it look like it is bending whenever it senses the girl * I blurred the background in Photoshop to make the foreground stand out http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/jroberts/137535_sm.png ZEN ROCK GARDEN http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/jroberts/137534 http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/jroberts/137534_sm.png
