<img src="http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/Oldschooler2/667190_sm.png" width="148" height="111" border="1" alt="" />A very simple game I made in my free time. Also a tutorial for basic enemy AI.

Don't ask why you are a "ball".

Controls are in game.

NOTE!
In 1-player, you move in the direction you are facing (towars your mouse). In 2-player, you face toward your enemy.

This is also tutorial. It features:

*Basic Enemy AI
*2-Player
*Increasing Difficulty

Fully Commented to help users understand; download to see all the comments.

<img src="http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/Oldschooler2/665987_sm.png" width="148" height="111" border="1" alt="" />Connect 4 Scratched!!!

Press space for different backgrounds.

All/Most of the bugs should be fixed! Great news for me.

You play red. Click with the mouse to drop your checker into the playing field (the white dots) make sure it is in the field or it won't be a valid move. You also can't drop a checker in there is one at the top.

Yellow is a computer.

Connect 4 to win!

Download it to see how everything works. It is fully commented to help you understand (though it did take quite a bit of math to figure out).

Scratch REALLY needs matrices (2-D arrays) because it is REALLY hard to do this without them.

REPORT ANY PROBLEMS!

PS check out my newest game: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/Oldschooler2/667190

Glo-Ball

<img src="http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/Oldschooler2/663336_sm.png" width="148" height="111" border="1" alt="" />Use your bouncy ball to go through each level and collect the flags.

Left and right arrow keys to move.

Make sure you do not hit any spikes, lava, booby traps, or quicksand, or else you lose a life. When your lives equal zero, game over!!!!!!! -_-

Flags to get:

Finland
Hawaii
Brazil
Egypt

Get all four and have at least one life remaining, and you win, compadre!

Title of game is obvious pun on the word "Global".

There are four levels, each in a different location.

I got rid of the fog. Even I have to admit it was annoying. (I think it caused some lag too).

Scratch Mini

<img src="http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/Oldschooler2/658911_sm.png" width="148" height="111" border="1" alt="" />This took a while to figure out, but I did it! ^V^ Sort of... Well archmage's version is not as needlessly complicated as mine (though mine does come with comments to help people understand)

NEW!!! Press t for a block tutorial! (Press t again to turn it off).

Scratch within Scratch...This miniature version of Scratch is greatly simplified, but still has many basic stuff you can get the cat to do. This uses, like, 5 lists xP I actually did not want to set my personal standards too high, cause otherwise I get stressed out...ugh...

The coding's a bit awkward, but it works for now, so I'm content. \m/ ^_^\m/ You gotta wait a bit for some stuff to happen...I'm sorry for that, but Scratch does not let you do very much. If you think that, consider this a parody. -_-

It's got only 1 sprite that stamps each new block you put down, I wanted it to be like Scratch in that manner.

Click the arrows at the bottom to change the block you want to use. (I could have done it exactly like Scratch but that is too dang complicated to execute). Click on the block to drag it. Oh, by the way, it won't do anything unless there is a green flag block and any other block is lined up with the green flag block, etc. Yeah, it's got a few bugs...but I don't really know how to fix all of them.

This is aimed to help younger users learn Scratch 1.4, at least some of the basic blocks.

Sling-Shoota

<img src="http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/Oldschooler2/636652_sm.png" width="148" height="111" border="1" alt="" />Love it? Click the loveit button.

Okay, I was thinking about the Simpsons when I made this (hence the Bart Simpson on the title screen) and I thought I'd make a slingshot simulator. But I did not stop there just yet. I thought I'd make a game out of it.

Click down and move your mouse to unleash your slingshot, making sure it hits the other coloured balls to score points. You have Five, count 'em, 5 tries to get as high a score as possible. Post your best.

This has semi-realistic physics (not accounting for mass, that is) in that the farther away you pull your sling-shot the faster the ball goes, and a point multiplier that gives you more points the longer your ball keeps bouncing about.

I'm aware there may be some glitches, but I love it anyway.

Now you can no longer get negative tries.

Like the faded title screen? Not much but I think it looks cool.

Thanks guys for getting this on the front page (in twelve hours, a record for me).

Okay, the AI seems to be working online now. ^_^

Race your canoe through the gates, numbered 1-6. The arrow above you tells you where the next gate is. When the AI does work, you gotta race through all the gates before it does.

As in real life, you alternate between left and right, so alternate between the left and right arrow keys to go forward, and just one of them to turn.

This was not hard to program, but it did take 4 hours or so. This takes advantage of Scratch 1.4, you can see your "speed" (in mph) and how many gates you've gone through in the variable display.
There are "sensor" sprites at each of the gates, to detect whether you've gone through them, and there is a variable that makes sure you go through them in the correct order.

I do like the final result, I hope you do too.

Uses "distance to" block to set the brightness (I thought it would be more realistic). Very simple, no variables used.
Move around the mouse and hold the click to use the flashlight.

Demo of an original RPG I made.
All graphics courtesy of yours truly :)

Storyline is in the game but no bosses; only training.

I've never made an RPG before, but I've played Paper Mario & PM :TTYD, plus I played fandebiao's "Battle of Candor 1.47" and I thought I'd make my own RPG.
This is basically, so far, a game engine/beta release. Fully functional battle engine.

WASD or arrow keys to move; I thought I'd have an ambidextrous control system.

10 or more loveits and there will be a finished product.

Super F-Zero 1.0

<img src="http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/Oldschooler2/589599_sm.png" width="148" height="111" border="1" alt="" />If you love it, don't forget to click the loveit button!

Spread the word!

Demo version of F-zero created in Scratch 1.4 by Oldschooler2. Included is a short cartoon featuring Captain Falcon and Sonic (Cartoon not related to plot of game, just there for kicks)!

Controls:
left and right arrow keys to turn
up arrow key to accelerate, down arrow key to slow down.

I have everything but the AI working. You also can only pick one car, but I do have THAT one working. However, there are three courses to race on, and all of them should give you a challenge.

Don't drive into the black: you will die if that happens (just click green flag)
Yellow-brown patch slows you down
Brown pushes you back and you lose health
Red, aka lava, also makes you lose health
Purple patch restores health
If health=0, you will die too.

You may input your name for this game when it asks you. You can also input a "racer name" just for this game. However, the name can not be longer than 13 characters (it just shortens this)

This demo, and soon the real game, does take advantage of the features of Scratch 1.4
Have Fun!

Many of the sprites are from www.spriters-resource.com

It's related to Star Fox command. Like in Star Fox 64, whenever the characters have to speak, they speak via a pop-up of their face.

This should have been one of the endings in Star Fox Command(if I could have done that.) As with all Oldschooler2 movies, watch all of it before you comment. If you love it, don't forget to click that "loveit" button!

If it fails to work online, try downloading it.

Rated PG.

Song is by the Ramones.

If it lags online, try downloading it and playing it in presentation mode.

A retooled remake of the classic arcade game space invaders. This is a more challenging variant of space invaders. Hence the "DX"

Your ship looks different (oh boy, THAT looks familiar...)

How to play:

Left and right arrow keys: Strafe (move)
Space bar: Start, shoot

Post your high score.
PS: There is a secret in this game, that unlocks something. But you gotta download to find out. (Plus it comes with a homemade remix, I recorded it with Garageband on my Mac)

If you love it, don't forget to click the loveit button!

I apologize if it is "sub-par", but it has been a slow month for me.

Vroom! Vroom! Are you ready for the awesome power of a Rally Car? You drive the French Renault Rally car, #9, aka the Scratcher. (No pun intended). Drive a full lap around the hybrid rally track, half dirt, half road. Note the various billboards around the track, added to this game to make it feel more like a racing game in the arcades or even real life. Try to beat your best time! I feel this is my best game yet.

Oh yeah, sorry I haven't had a game made in quite a while...:( Oh well, enjoy. :)

Controls:

Up arrow: Accelerate
Down Arrow: Brake
Left Arrow: Turn Left
Right Arrow: Turn Right

Except for the title screen and logos, everything was drawn by me.
