hmnwilson's Recent Projects http://scratch.mit.edu/feeds/getRecentUserProjects/27677 Recent Projects Feed for hmnwilson en-us Thu, 24 Jul 2008 07:07:52 GMT CakePHP Han and Andres genghisu please read if you really care. http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/hmnwilson/202854 it makes me super sad for all the people who are stupid enough to believe that scratch is only about popularity. NOTE: this is just hazelleafkitty's project downloaded and re-uploaded with no changes (read the end). http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/hmnwilson/202854_sm.png Spam this project! http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/hmnwilson/199397 I've noticed a lot of people just need to spam other people's projects, so this is for you (especially if you spam projects a lot). Advertise anything here in the comments (CAPS-LOCK ENCOURAGED). Sure you can just go to the show and tell forums, but this is easier and IT'S A PROJECT! http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/hmnwilson/199397_sm.png The epilepsy test http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/hmnwilson/184174 WARNING: HIGH INTENSITY FLASHING LIGHTS. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY PROBLEMS (LIKE SEIZURES) YOU HAVE BECAUSE OF THIS PROJECT. IF YOU THINK YOU MIGHT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS, MAKE SURE MEDICAL ATTENTION IS AVALIBLE QUICKLY. This is a good test to see if you have epilepsy. Read the warning above and the one in the proect. The screen after the final test might be the worst of them all, though. You have been warned. http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/hmnwilson/184174_sm.png Basic (but realistic) 3D http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/hmnwilson/155668 This uses the pen (and the 2 poles) and makes this actually look 3D. It doesn't flicker in presentation mode or online, but it looks pretty realistic in presentation mode. Press left and right to move that way, and up and down to make the camera move in an upwards slant. (I discovered that when trying to make it zoom in/out.) This is also for SP's racing game. (don't ask.) Also, a glitch happens online that doesn't offline: going too far too the left or right makes the lines "fold", making the road oddly-shaped. But only online... http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/hmnwilson/155668_sm.png 2 images with 1 sprite http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/hmnwilson/141075 This project has 2 cats that look like 2 sprites, but there's really only one. Press left and right to move the top one and A and D to move the bottom. DON'T press more than one button at once. It makes them flicker and sometimes dissapear until all movement buttons are realeased. The scripts are also pretty messy, but this an early start. http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/hmnwilson/141075_sm.png Wii remote race http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/hmnwilson/138097 This game is the first of a series of games I'm making that are compatible with Wiimotes. This is one of the only games on scratch (maybe THE only) that's built for using a Wiimote (Wii Remote). And NO, I don't mean opening it on the Opera browser for the Wii. I KNOW projects don't work on it (i have it, so I know). Don't post any comments on that. But that might confuse some people. If I didn't say this, I can see the coments: "how do you connect the remote to your computer"? Well, for one thing, you need a Wiimote (obviously) and your computer needs to be bluetooth enabled.Download special software (for Mac users I reccomend DarwiinRemote because it's free and there's no trial/full problems. For a PC... I don't know (I have a Mac), I guess you can google it. If you can't find anything leave a comment and I'll try to find one) and follow the instructions and connect the Wiimote (usually just by clicking a button, pressing the 1 and 2 buttons and waiting) and turning it into the mouse. (a downside to DarwiinRemote is you actually have to go up and press the mouse button, but the B button is enter so you can just press that to press the green flag when downloaded and the +Control Pad as the arrow keys.) Then download and put this into presentation mode. And you saw this coming: Instructions: move the Wiimote up and down quickly to make the cat move. Don't make the mouse touch the edges. Move the cat to the red as quickly as possible. You can use a mouse if you don't have a Wiimote or bluetooth. But you go LOT faster with a mouse, so only post high scores you got with a Wiimote. My best score is 9.86 seconds. Try to beat THAT! :D http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/hmnwilson/138097_sm.png 3D http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/hmnwilson/132006 OK, it could use some improvement, but keep in mind this IS scratch. Use the left and right arrow keys to rotate, and up and down arrow keys to zoom in/out. But that ONLY WORKS WHEN DOWNLOADED. (two problems with that: 1. it gets pixellated and 2. scratch has a limit for size so it can't zoom in enough to make it perfect.) My next plan is moving the camera up/down/left/right without rotating. ALL credit goes to AddZero for the 30 costumes of the background (which must have been a PAIN to get all of). http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/hmnwilson/132006_sm.png Easy sprite editor http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/hmnwilson/114613 Yep, I've been away for a while doing some stuff, but I still checked the website every now and then (OK, maybe more than that). I thought I should post something, so I made this. All you do is press the arrow keys nd the black pixel moves around, and you press space to change the pixel under it. (After you press the green flag, press one of the arrow keys to make the circle around it dissapear. Pressing space will stamp it even when it's on the circle.) Press options to change stuff Press it again to close the menu. The "find" option in other shows the circle in case you lose where the pixel is so you can find it. As before, press an arrow key to make it dissapear. http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/hmnwilson/114613_sm.png Scratch glitch http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/hmnwilson/77150 Download this project and look in the sprite list for the cat. It's not there, but you can still drag it around and add scripts/costumes/sounds!! This was a glitch I discovered accidentally, and I don't know exactly how I did it, but it had something to do with pressing cancel quickly in the paint editor after pressing the paint new sprite button. http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/hmnwilson/77150_sm.png The impossible quiz http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/hmnwilson/75064 my first impossible quiz game. The next one will come out soon. Works better when downloaded (just don't cheat). glitch: after clicking instructions, I didn't catch this, but when you press space, the project won't work. Press the green flag after instead. http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/hmnwilson/75064_sm.png Decorate the tree http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/hmnwilson/72342 I planned to have this finished yesterday, but our computer crashed 2 days ago and we just got it fixed, so I worked on it frantically today trying to get it done before the big day (tomorrow!). Press the ornaments icon to get ornaments you can put on the tree. click one and choose where you want to put it. If there's an ornament you don't want on/want to move, press put away and click the ornament you want and it'll go back into the box. The show/hide star icon is self-explanetory. (I wanted to have a show/hide lights option too, but they're too hard to draw.) When you're done, press the OK thing (upper-right hand corner). It works better when downloaded, but makes a good christmas ecard. NOTE!! I found a few projects like this allready posted. I started this awhile ago. I DIDN'T STEAL THEIR IDEAS! http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/hmnwilson/72342_sm.png Scrolling backround http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/hmnwilson/67879 A simple scrolling background. Move with the arrow keys. The black frame has to be there until Scratch gets unlimited off-screen space. Download and use this any way you want (just give credit). http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/hmnwilson/67879_sm.png Super Smash bros. DEMO http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/hmnwilson/64940 The demo for my SSB game. Right now it's Bowser vs. kirby (chosen randomly). The full version will have all the characters (and the load of bugs will be fixed). it goes slower than it should because of the giant scripts ( I know there's lots of parts I don't need/can be shortened but it'll be changed in the full vrsion. Bowser: move with the arrow keys. Up: jump space: breathe fire B: claw. Kirby: move with A&D. W: jump (press S to slam down, sorry about the bounce after) 2: kick 3: turn invincible for 2 seconds. Try to knock each other off the stage. Sprites are from The Spriters Resource. NOTE: this doesn't work on all computers. http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/hmnwilson/64940_sm.png Lotto ticket http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/hmnwilson/53820 This simple game is just a coin scratching a lottery ticket to see if you win. You have a 1/10 chance of winning. Your prize? nothing, but hey, this lotto ticket's free. You can download this to have one for your own project. http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/hmnwilson/53820_sm.png Hard mazes http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/hmnwilson/53701 These mazes are really hard, not because of the levels, but because you lose control of the ball a lot. There's 7 levels of mazes you have to get through. If you touch the walls, you go back to the start. Get to the yellow dot to go to the next level. Use the arrow keys to move. There's even a secret level! http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/hmnwilson/53701_sm.png
