The Ashes

<img src="http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/bigB/601596_sm.png" width="148" height="111" border="1" alt="" />Play as England in this Ashes Game where you can both bat and bowl. The fielders are computer controlled.

When batting move the bat with the up and down keys. If you hit the ball aim by pressing space. Aim your power with space. The longer you hold space when aiming power the higher you will hit the ball (good for sixes but you may be caught out). To run press left or right after hitting the ball.

When you are bowling press space to aim and again for distance (you dont need to hold it down).

The bats at the top show the remaining wickets and the ball beneath shows whether the bowler is a fast bowler or a spinner.

When bowling as a spinner try to aim high or low and long. This might hit the wickets behind the batter. When bowling as a fast bowler if you bowl long they are likely to hit down. If you bowl short they are likely to bowl high meaning they can be caught out but they may get a six or a four.

Formula 1 Pit Stop Game

<img src="http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/bigB/596037_sm.png" width="148" height="111" border="1" alt="" />You are in charge of the Brawn Team (white)
Choose how much fuel you want by clicking 'fuel' or holding space. select tyres by clicking 1 of the 3 tyre icons (dry to wet).
Then press go to strat the 50 lap race. The 'screen' near the top shows how efficient you are (the higher the white line the better) The graph shows how fast your laps are (higher is quicker)
When you want to pit click the pit button. It will pit next lap. you can then change tyres and put more fuel in before pressing go.
The top square on the left shows the weather forcast. The square below shows track condition. try to have the right tyres depending on tack condition.
the three circles at the bottom show your position from last on the left to first on the right.
goodluck.

Wimbledon

<img src="http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/bigB/589927_sm.png" width="148" height="111" border="1" alt="" />You control the player at the bottom.

Use the arrow keys to move. You do not control the racket.

When the ball hits your racket, press space once to select the angle and again to choose power.

Other than serves normal tennis rules apply. Only one bounce allowed. Do not hit in the tram lines. Dont hit it in the net or too far back.

It is first to 10. If you win you go against the next player. If not you can try again.

There are 4 opponents who each get better. I have a feeling they may be too tricky so dont worry if you struggle.

Have fun

(The tricky parts of this project were making the bouncing work, do you like the shadow?, and making the computer decide for you how high to hit the ball)

<img src="http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/bigB/260981_sm.png" width="148" height="111" border="1" alt="" />This is an attempt at making a drw to text program.
Draw (lowercase) letters in the blue box and watch them turn into letters.
To backspace draw a horizontal line across the box.
To make a space draw a horizontal line near the bottom of the box.
It may not get the letter right everytime but it works quite well. If your interested download it to see how it works. It was made in version 1.2 so eeveryone should be able to download it.

learning car demo

<img src="http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/bigB/222253_sm.png" width="148" height="111" border="1" alt="" />This is a demonstration of a car 'learning' it's way around a track. Start it with the green flag. The red and yellow sensors detect a crash and this affect how it tackles that part of the course next time it tries it. It takes a few minutes to learn the whole track but please watch it learn at least part of it.
NEW IMPROVEMENT
It works faster by not repeating as much and also shows the lap afterwards without any sensors as proof that it has learn the track.

<img src="http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/bigB/200808_sm.png" width="148" height="111" border="1" alt="" />Fly your space ship through a '3D' space. Try to fly through the Blue Energy Ball to gain time. The Blue arrow will show you where it is. Use the left and right arrows to twist. Use up and down to dive or rise up. Use A to accelerate and Z to slow down. Your speed and remaining time are shown at the bottom of the screen.

A and Z, speed up/slow down Up, dive down Down, fly upwards Left Right, turn left/right. The is a timer in the corner but you get penalties for misiing or hitting the gates. This is a tricky game. Until you get used to the controls fly slowly. Goodluck. (The water was taken from S65's aircraft game)
For best results download it and run in fullscreen.
