5 BreakDance

I'm a b-boy and this is practically the first Scratch project I ever made. INSTRUCTIONS Click the boombox and then the other icons at the top of the screen. HOW I MADE THIS The boombox makes a beat and *broadcasts* messages to the dancer. The dancer responds by moving and whirling. I took pictures of myself doing k-kicks and ninja freezes and cut them out in photoshop. Then I made it so that when you click the icons at the top, the dancer busts out with a phat move. MORE IDEAS It would be fun to add other dancers that respond to the broadcasts. Then there'd be lots of dancers at the same time.

9 Tetris

This is the classic game of Tetris. Build unbroken horizontal lines of blocks to score points! Controls: Left/Right arrows to move; Up arrow to rotate; Down arrow to accelerate. Based on work by Fandebiao and many other Scratch collaborators. See gallery: Tetris-only

3 Trampoline

INSTRUCTIONS Click the Green flag to start. Press arrow keys to do tricks. Each arrow key triggers a different trick. HOW I MADE THIS * The trampoline uses the fisheye effect to make it look like it is bending whenever it senses the girl * I blurred the background in Photoshop to make the foreground stand out

1 PacMan

INSTRUCTIONS Use arrow keys to move HOW THIS CODE WORKS I made this program so others could make their own pacman and other maze games and artistic expressions. The way this program works is that whenever you push an arrow key, pacman points in the direction you push (if "left arrow key" pressed point "left"). Then pacman moves forward as long as his whiskers (a purple dot in front of his mouth) are touching the color green. You can see this in the pacman sprite "if (purple touching green)". If pacman touches red, the maze switches. MORE IDEAS To change it just draw any maze/path you want to using the same color green I used (in the scratch paint editor that's the 4th square down in the green column). Then change the pacman costume.

6 BugOnAPlate

Move the ladybug using the arrow keys and collect the fruits. Each has to be gained within 15 secs. You mustn't cross your path marked with a blue line, however, you can click on the dustbin three times to clear the stage. Click on the green flag to start a new game. can you leave acoment:)

This is what I consider a production version since I've inlined a few things. I have a more academic version that is a little easier to read. The whole thing is also dumbed down a little to make the math a little easier. How it works: When a ball encounters a collision object it uses the [ point towards[ Collision ] ] command block and then uses sin and cos to calculate a colliion normal. That normal is used to calculate a resulting velocity perpendicular to the surface and velocity tangent to the surface. Friction and restitution are applied to make the ball bounce.
