And a friend even drops by! __________Note: this was written to show people who don't have Scratch on their computers but who can view it online. This lets them see a couple of scripts, and rerun them if they wish, to see a little of how Scratch works. That's all it is! Enjoy! --Larry828

______________itsEMILagain made the wonderful project "Autum Leaves"....and Larry828 made this.
>>>>BUT: what does *this* offer? Adding representatives of the animal kingdom to Autumn. AND: original music composed just for this project by the remixer!! BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE: Scratch Cat gets to make yet another appearance at his website! (Of course these are just paper cutouts, not real cats!!) _______________________________________ Remember: one click under this project will take you to the original! *****And Larry828 sends Best Autumn Wishes to itsEMILagain for giving us such a fine example to follow....

Motion Monitor

<img src="http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/Larry828/756453_sm.png" width="148" height="111" border="1" alt="" />The scripts monitor the movement (or lack of movement) of a sprite. ----In this project as long as the sprite is detected as being in motion then a pleasant beep is heard. But if the sprite stops for more than one second an alarm beeping is heard, and the sprite starts planning something!! [That could easily be reversed in the scripts.] ______________ [Perhaps this would be useful in a game for monitoring the movement of the gamer's sprite, or for an enemy.] _______________ This project is presented as a "module" that could be plugged into a larger one, providing both the arrow key movement and the motion monitoring. I'd like to hear from anyone who uses the monitor in a larger project!! Thanks, and enjoy! --Larry828

Tilter Too

<img src="http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/Larry828/755015_sm.png" width="148" height="111" border="1" alt="" />This is a REMIX of greenflash's great project "Tilter." ____ Tilter loves falling through the air! Tilter loves it so much that Tilter seems to lose sleep, and sometimes falls asleep in mid-air. But if Tilter reaches the ground then Tilter jumps right back into the air again!! _________ Have fun with greenflash's tilting sprite! (I added some music.) [If a parrot appears from time to time, don't blame me. I can't imagine why it's there.] --Larry 828 _________________________________________***On a personal note, the sprite used to stop when both halves touched a green object at the same time. I finally figured out how to use a variable to detect if the sprite stopped falling! If it stops for 2 seconds then it is sent back to the top of the screen. Hurray!! A new discovery! Here are part of the original Project Notes:This project demostrates tilting on a slope. The different colors are used as sensors, turning left or right depending on which color is touching. Have fun!

The song is played by Cat's position! ___And here's a little mystery: sometimes the cat and dog are in contact for 2 or 3 seconds...but the dog only barks *once*! How is that possible? :-)

Hope you enjoy this. Larry828 ********This project includes bass notes for each chord. "Music Box" specifically features 4-note runs into each chord change.
