thanksgiving crossword

By Natalie and Charley. We haven't added any scripts yet. Charley thought of all the words. Maybe you will make your own crossword game, too...

memory exercise

<img src="http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/natalie/742777_sm.png" width="148" height="111" border="1" alt="" />This is a mental exercise that challenges your brain's working memory.

The words are spoken (if you have computer sound on). To answer, click in the box and type.

I read about it in an article by a researcher named Greg J. Siegle. I wanted to try the exercise, so I made this version in Scratch. (It's called the Adaptive Paced Auditory Serial Addition Test.)

The variables keep track of how many are correct and how long it takes to answer.

This is one of my favorite paths to run, along the river. Press "H" to make the boat go from the Harvard boathouse.

storyteller with dynamic text input experiment

<img src="http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/natalie/344424_sm.png" width="148" height="111" border="1" alt="" />NOTE: Right now this code only works when you open it in the Scratch software (not in presentation mode or online). I am experimenting with answer/responses in a text box, and what we would need in Scratch to make this easier. 1) text boxes that you can write in during operation
2) check for a member (subset) of a list;
3) Get rid of Enter as shortcut for Green flag;
4) Type strings into math comparison blocks;
5) Maybe type into a variable on the stage (but maybe option to lock for presentation mode).

They are planning to add a circus background, and add more animation to create the "LEGO Go Circus."They built the parts using LEGO bricks. Then we used the camera on my computer to take the pictures.

My niece who is 3 years old described to me what she wanted, and I programmed it. I said her "Hi" had lots of I's, that's how she got idea for the butterfly having lots of "eyes."

I added a variable to keep count, so you can see how many stars have been painted so far. It should stop when the counter equals 1,000,000 (one million).
