HOW I MADE THIS * I used the "change color effect by _" block to get the robots and disco cube to change color * First I made one robot dance. Then I used the copy tool to make 3 other ones exactly like it. Then I changed the size and location of each robot to make them seem like they are standing on different parts of the dance floor. http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/tammy/146516_sm.png 5 Tamara http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/tammy/104171 INSTRUCTIONS Click the Green Flag and move your mouse over the letters to make music and art. HOW I MADE THIS * I used "pick random _ to _" to select a different color and size for the line every time you move the mouse over a letter. * I used "broadcast" to play the notes for each letter so that the script wouldn't stop for SPEED secs (from the "play note _ for SPEED secs" block) before moving on to the next blocks. MORE IDEAS * Try changing the "speed" variable (in the script for the Stage). Or try changing the music for each letter. * What if the letters moved in different patterns, not just straight lines? http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/tammy/104171_sm.png 7 Tamara http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/tammy/61438 INSTRUCTIONS Click the Green Flag and move your mouse over the letters to make music and art. Because she lives far away, I thought I'd send her some fly-by love drops. Use the arrow keys to catch the love drops and put together the Happy Birthday song. If you catch a party hat, the instrument changes. http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/tammy/21256_sm.png Happy Birthday Kurt! http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/tammy/12232 Press the letters of your name (K-U-R-T) Happy Birthday Kurt! One of the more major things I did was put the if-else block in Sprite 1 inside a forever loop. I also made it so that if Score is greater than Speed, a "WON" message is broadcasted to the world. This message triggers other blocks to execute (Sprite1 switches to a costume saying "you won!" and Sprite2 hides) Cool game, Llamalover! http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/tammy/4829_sm.png MIT homepage animation http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/tammy/3180 Press the green flag to start. Once the cat animation is over, click on the MIT logo and move your mouse around to apply a random image effect to the Scratch design team. This project was inspired by the many cool Scratch paint projects people have been making. http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/tammy/1453_sm.png community project http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/tammy/599 [This project was created with a group of middle school kids as they were learning how to use Scratch] Hi Umana Barnes! What's up? Check out our cool project. It has Domatilia, Dayanara, Brian, Ryan, Thalia, and Emily. We still want to add Todd, Brandon, Karina, Melissa, Doug, Jay, Ms. Cain, and Tammy. Do you have any cool projects to show us? http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/tammy/599_sm.png TurtleArt http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/tammy/137 This project was inspired by Turtle Art software, created by Brian Silverman and Paula Bonta at Playful Invention Company INSTRUCTIONS Click the Green Flag to start. HOW I MADE THIS The sprite uses its pen to draw a series of lines, each with a different color. For each line, the sprite moves out 300 steps, back 298 steps, then turns one degree. The color and brightness of each line depends on the sprite's x-position and y-position when it starts drawing the line. MORE IDEAS What if each line was shorter, or longer? What if the pen color depended on the sprite's y-position instead of its x-position? http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/tammy/137_sm.png happy bday john http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/tammy/136 Happy Birthday John! http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/tammy/136_sm.png
